Yesterday morning feihai went cycling with waifu to Eco Grandeur and Elmina Rainbow Bridge. 63km pergi balik, today my back pain as if I had 3 sessions of bed marathon back to back.

oh by the way, i have been using my phone as bike comp all this while. that last ride, the phone batt died when i havent complete the ride, and the resultant data has error that i cannot upload to strava, kinda wasted.

now i am thinking of buying a dedicated bike-comp, i definitely cannot afford wahoo or garmin, i am looking at Brytons now (310, 320, 410 or 420). but at the same time there is this kickstarter-made XOSS that has similar features as a bryton yet priced almost 1/3 of the above. any opinions?

Short ride in KL city this morning. Climbing is really not my forte, climb up Istana oso I had to get down and walk at halfway point. Bukit Mayor I skip terus, don't dare go.

i just look at google maps on phone, drill down to street view if needed.

but so far all my rides has been done at routes i am familiar with lah, i am a motorcyclist after all, so many places pernah pass by.

even if i wana cycle a route i never rode before (like before my first time go rainbow bridge 2 months back), i would ride a motorbike and go scout it first.

what kind of rider are u?
- ride for fitness - as long as got ride regardless of speed/distance
- ride for fun - join group rides for chats/socialize/makan, mostly ride at comfortable pace and chat A-Z about bike/gear/aero/gadgets/etc
- ride for PR - join fast group, looking to break every PR on the route, seeking best avg pace/normalized power, mostly ride at threshold/above threshold limits, chat about training, breakthrough, techniques/performance gain/etc
- ride for touring - seeking the thrill of going into unknown, riding for hours to new places and meet new friends, training for audax
- ride alone - rider without friend, wait no one, no one wait for u.. hahaha

i used to try a bicycle glove inside a motorcycle glove, in an attempt to dampen the handlebar vibes over long distance highway riding
