Hi sifus, am planning to replace my current helmet with better safety construction, airflow and etc. Budget around rm500 and looking at asian fit. any suggestion sifus?
*
giro synthe 2018 stock would around that price at BMC ss2. decent adjustment, not sure if i would call it asian fit though.

hjc furion or ibex can get around there after shop discount, korean brand should be asian fit.

Does anyone knows where to get this type of L/R side pull /load cage?

topeak has them, try GH or most shops that has topeak stuff.

I was using it on old bike since my seat tube is short, current bike using elite cannibal, easy to side load from any side. for a typical side pull bottle cage if you pull on right side if mounted on down tube, you would have to pull from left side if the same cage is on the seat tube, cant use the same hands.

talking about saddles, I've broken 2 spez saddles at the base lol. cheap romin comp, and sworks power arc. same place at the saddle base beside the cutout. rails are fine, sent the sworks one try luck claim warranty even though it's 2 years old, but since july no news. using pro stealth now, 40g heavier but half the price, hopefully that can last longer lol.

maybe I'm too heavy sad.gif sad.gif

Previously i got one from Decathlon.. RM15 saja.. can be left/right sided..

Anyone tried this tube before? the unthreaded ones.. since no thread then will have no nut to lock it to rim.. will keep rattling or not?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
wont rattle, just annoying to pump if your pump isnt the screw in type. push to engage end up hard to engage, push the valve into the rim, if the rim is high profile and valve not long end up cant engage. was using 62.5mm rims and 80mm valve also not much extra clearance

nice, but for normal usage probably not the most practical, sure tiny battery short flight time. military use for recon prior to building entry or something, not fly around pusing2 for 15 minutes. would probably need to bring 3-4 batteries and spare drones also lol.

A single charge can have the flight time of 25 minutes also not too bad.

But yalo, need to bring along several battery packs. nod.gif

not bad, longer than most dji. maybe cos only 2 motors, not 4 like quadcopter drones.

Generally 5 years or so ...but 5 years in today tech advancement...if you see 5 year ago madone vs today's madone...conlanfirm u won't want the one 5 year ago

Nothing last forever ...not even carbon ......if the direction of impact is the weakest part of the carbon ie horizontal impact or angled impact, it will crack easily. Some frame like cervelo rear seat stay so damn thin ( offcourse engineering reason) that it falls off and hit an angle....will likely break that they won't cover under warranty. But it's not as sensitive as glass....but u know....if crash and hit something really hard....metal will transfer energy...carbon will absorb energy
*
"metal will transfer energy"

doh.gif

whatever force acting upon anything that can deform the shape of the object means energy used up to deform it. metal bent/broken/cracked means energy not transferred elsewhere

QUOTE(ijan @ Nov 13 2020, 10:09 PM)
ask taiko sini, i placed a deposit with specialized store for the allez elite, i have my reasons going aluminium laa

i'm short at 163cm, bike fit based on allez sizing is 52 which is crazy, but a 49 should be nice.

With the RETUL, the shop strongly advise me get the recommended size of 44 from the RETUL result of 44/49.

I was like...aaa...their reasoning is as usual, you can sikit size up a smaller frame with stems, higher this that, but you cannot reduce something too much on a bigger frame. AND, they cakap with my saddle height and the 49 bike size, it would not look COOL, will look more like P RAMLEE basikal with seat post very low.

What say taiko here?
*
buy size 44, easier to resell to people buying bikes for their wives icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

on a more serius note, based on retul fit you should have your bb to saddle length, check how far out the seatpost is extended out. I'm 161cm, can use bmc size 48 but the BMC TMR aero bike would look ugly cos the seatpost damn short, saddle very close to top tube. cos aesthetics matter abit to me, some wont mind hahaha

QUOTE(OhNooy @ Nov 13 2020, 11:45 PM)
Hi, i am thinking of changing the tyres for the first time. Any brands are recommended? My current default tyres are 32c tubeless, plan to change to tube 28c. Prefer something more durable and puncture protection.
*
tyres i've used and would recommend: sworks (non cotton), pirelli p zero velo, michelin power competition

tyres i've used and dont have much complaints: schwalbe one (wet grip not so good, otherwise ok)

tyres i've used and wont buy again: challenge strada, vittoria corsa G (1st gen), bontrager r4, conti gp4k.

tyres i might consider buying in the future if got sale and can get cheap: corsa 2.0, goodyear eagle f1, gp5k, something tubeless if i wanna convert since wheels are tubeless ready

Giant sini okay, but messenger ka whatsapp susah he very slow to reply. Giant has too much nifty gifty graphic on it, and the Contender (aluminium) is not very interesting IMHO, tanya pricing pun belum bagi, what he can tell me, next year baru ada stock. And kalau cari review or comparison, its hard to get Giant review, pricing xde on the website, specs are never clear especially weight.

And of course I do know Giant make other ppl punya bike. But kalau price is right, stock ada, I might just take Giant.

And another reason for noobie me laaaa...a Giant is a Giant, and a Specialized is a Specialized.
Sama saja, non-existence. Giant kena tunggu next year February. Specialized pun patchy, ada ada, takde takde, but stock direct from SG. The rest aa, that do not have specific boutique, kena put order baru order, 2-3 bulan if lucky. For sure stock akan sampai semenanjung baru sini.
*
went to Giant ss2 when it opened 2 months ago, can get some stock. now not sure.

specialized is 49% merida hahaha. short people problems, if scared small size frame bottle obstructed by top tube, use elite cannibal bottle cage

current roubaix and diverge will always have high handlebar height cos of the suspension under the stem, need damn long seatpost to have decent saddle to handlebar drop to look nice

oh yeah... Bike Artisan memang celaka place
the owner Jeff is ok la, friendly. just when you are there u see other peoples spending power very kuat.
also encourage you to follow along.

btw... Stork bike very atas eh
what is the typical price range?
*
frame 9-11k for comp, got pro and platinum frames above that, platinum frames cost more than sworks, 20-35k depending on the frame model. they only bring in storck frames, build up to your specs. previously with 105 they built up some bikes around 14k at the old shop in puchong, since move to Kota damansara wait for someone to buy only they build up complete.

one cycling industry has chapter2 bikes, abit cheaper, around 7-10k for frame. and another unknown brand, China one i think, 5-6k full bike 105

bike artisan always good service even if you dont buy anything, cant say the same for most shops haha.
