ask taiko sini, i placed a deposit with specialized store for the allez elite, i have my reasons going aluminium laa

i'm short at 163cm, bike fit based on allez sizing is 52 which is crazy, but a 49 should be nice.

With the RETUL, the shop strongly advise me get the recommended size of 44 from the RETUL result of 44/49.

I was like...aaa...their reasoning is as usual, you can sikit size up a smaller frame with stems, higher this that, but you cannot reduce something too much on a bigger frame. AND, they cakap with my saddle height and the 49 bike size, it would not look COOL, will look more like P RAMLEE basikal with seat post very low.

What say taiko here?
*
Few things to consider

If you use a 44 depending on your lower limbs, will it adversely affect the setback of your saddle position? If the shop is confident in saying no, then you should be fine

The bolded part is a little misleading

Who is the one who performed the RETUL fit?

Well it depends, i know sometimes buying things is also merely about luck. Sorry I am a bit kiasu hehe... worry if sui sui frame got problem due to manufacturing after 5 years. There goes my hard earn money šŸ˜” repair also cannot.

Another reason for lifetime warranty is perhaps still retain better resale value. Just my twat.
*
Bike warranty claims are nebulous and because of that many shops try to claim for even the tiniest mottle of erroneous paint job but also because of that, I can only bid you ā€œgood luckā€ in trying to claim for damages should there be any manufacturing, if genuine, damages on your bike frame.

Bike warranty claims are not simple and unless the damage is unequivocally done by the manufacturer and not of the rider’s or the mechanic’s mistakes and it has to be unequivocal and obvious with evidences and proofs, you too have to hope for availability and be ready to wait for even if the claim is successful.

a friend in Labuan was telling me what he seen before while riding on a coastal downhill road. Cross wind blew a guy using Zipp 808 right off the road
*
I think cross winds and deep section wheels can be a scary combination for the cyclist using them but I do also think that the idea of it being sluggish and should not be used if one does not have strong legs is overblown LOL

It can be quite an expensive investment to buy to try. Better to find a buddy who can let you test ride their wheels first before deciding
*
For sure, if it is my only set of wheels I’d go with something within the 40-60mm range, my preference visually too.

Take all this with a grain of salt lah, most are biased reviews coming from their own journalist.. whom nobody gives a shyt

Biggest problem with every top tier TCR is their ISP seatpost.. its just not practical for end users. i.e. try fitting that into a bike bag for travel. You will even have a hard time reselling in the future due to the cut to size ISP seatpost..

Cannondale either but just look at the number of cannondales on the road. Just 2 years ago, you can see just hand full of them...now like bersepah supersix in every ride....if you pass by 10 cyclist , you can see 2 or 3 cannondale. This morning I ride peres, can see 5 cyclist in a bunch of supersix

Mostly newbies are the ones riding cannondale these days. The shop in subang taipan  that distribute cannondale, I went to buy chain lube....thier whole rack kosong....sapu habis cannondale
*
Brand consciousness cannot be ignored and Sagan unequivocally made S-WORKS even more popular than before which is why Specialized, S-WORKS specifically has a huge market share in spite of its high selling price

That said, Specialized’s marketing has always been at another level and Cannondale did improve some after getting themselves involved with Rapha
