QUOTE(minizian @ Mar 10 2021, 03:03 PM) not sure, last I went was a really long time ago when you could still park basement at 1utama, now most of the basement is for 1card holders. so i usually park at rooftop since 5 years ago, havent gone down to basement to check whether the shop still exists or not QUOTE(geno @ Mar 10 2021, 03:06 PM) I had diy repaired mine using ShoeGoo, u can get it from shopee or those skateboarders shop. For sole you need to clean the surface with some alcohol before applying the stuff. Then clamp it overnight with a C clamp. used this, not bad, but after open the cap need to use up fast, after awhile even with cap on it will dry up. bought when Ace hardware was at ikano power centre, then no stock, then Ace closed, now dunno where to find.Very versatile stuff, can be used on any part of the shoe.. youtube it geno liked this post

QUOTE(minizian @ Mar 14 2021, 01:07 PM) Just curious did anyone when to this particular person for bikefit? retul can do bike selection before buying bike. cyclelogy bangsar or vo2max sdn bhd has the option since retul updates their bike sizing database regularly. friend made a shortlist of 3 bikes, went to vo2max for fit, then vo2max checked bike geometries for the 3 bikes to recommend what size needed, whether stem/seatmast need changing or not.CODE https://bicyclebuysell.com/user/masterwong Any feedback on him? Since he is the only one that have plenty of feedback on him. Seen many bike fitter around in KL area. Not sure which one is legit and which one is not as some are so called certified Retul specialist. Did asked one of the bike shop for retul move bike fitting like prior buying bike but they seems keep asking me to buy a bike first then talk about it. ![]() minizian liked this post

QUOTE(minizian @ Mar 15 2021, 09:39 AM) Good to hear that. Since a quick look his FB page did not show really that machine around. vo2max is somewhere at bukit jalil, went to them twice for 2 of my bikes before they shifted there, previously located at ttdi above cycle studios. bangsar I think cos the fitter isnt full time there, he only comes if when there is fitting appointment, u contact the other guys they will try to sell bike haha. if you can reach the fitter directly can ask him if he can do. Johan Mokhtar is his name.I actually checked with the bangsar shop for such fit service ( but they keep asking me what type bike i am looking for.) instead of letting me how much does it cost to do such fit as I intend to do the fit first then talk about the bike later. Afterall they are a bike shop right and their main job is to sell the bikes. isnt vo2max near or beside gofondo there. Some of cyclist friend have some good feedback on them too |

QUOTE(jett138 @ Mar 15 2021, 02:20 PM) should be, vo2max is his company and he was a 1 man show for damn long. recently saw vo2max offering training sessions and looking to hire training instructors and bike fitters, probably to be his apprentice. would be interesting to learn from him, sports physiologist background, MSc Certified strength and conditioning specialist. |

up to you to buy what shades, at least branded ones confirm good optical clarity and less distortion, if wear long periods less likely to strain the eyes. I started out using cheapo fake oakleys, wasnt durable enough. changed to rudy project with impactx2 laser red photochromic lens, wide visible light transmission range so I can use for day and night rides. am thinking of changing to another rudy project with more coverage, current one (rydon) not the large lens size so some aggressive riding positions not enough lens coverage.

QUOTE(thefryingfox @ Mar 21 2021, 10:35 PM) I use ciplak oakley sutros before.....and wife bought original sutro with road lens. I can tell you ...the differ nice is freaking huge. The road lense make the road look super clear in day. Like better contrast and you can see every detail clearer. The difference in rain is even more significant especially puddled water probably lens distortion, it bends the light so your eye have to adjust, then get headache or eye strainBut yeah...600 ringgit vs 100 ringgit. Feel it's worth it considering sometime I feel dizzy with the ciplaks....must be not even or got some lens provlem |

QUOTE(thefryingfox @ Mar 22 2021, 06:52 PM) Hi guys I need to send my wheelset for service. Did 4k on them and recently I realise the rear is dished. It's no longer centered and that must be due to chain drop between the cassete and spoke few month ago. Need to readjust back the tension so the wheel comes off the other side if PJ area try megabike and meng thai, they build wheels themselves and can service and true wheels. but better call megabike first, i think got backlog of bikes to service, might not be taking in bikes for service at the momentAny suggestions to service wheelset? Usual like degrease hub, change bearing if needed and tru Pls recommend good source that you frequent please..that will be appreciated |

QUOTE(OhNooy @ Mar 23 2021, 10:09 PM) malaya optical sells them, but better call first if got in store to try. they should have at least 1 of each popular model for testing, when you find what you like then order which color and lens you want. the distributor seems to have gone fully online I think. Seriously. i have an older lake cx331, got it on sale, really worth the price. carbon outsole can bake in oven to get custom fit, and half of the upper uses kangaroo skin so it forms to my feet the longer i wear it. cannot afford the cx402 or cx403 but price getting higher, rm1.5-2k. same with suplest, friends using say quite nice, but over my budget lolI chose these because of the comfortable big toe box. And no, I'm just a santai cyclist. No ganas ganas. Honest! Anyhow, the Shimano road version is RC9 (RC901). Outwardly, looks identical to the offroad version. ![]() I tried the Fizik ones (not sure which model ![]() In future, I'd like to try either Suplest, Lake or other brands. ![]() a good value high end shoe is the new gaerne g.chrono, rm1100. andre greipel used it, 2000 watt sprinter so it should be good enough for most. cheaper than the shimano rc902, handmade in italy some more. QUOTE(berzerk @ Mar 24 2021, 12:13 PM) cx331 are the best! pity they're not in production anymore. if im not mistaken only the cx4xx still has the mouldable outsoles, they phased it out of the other stuff probably to cut cost. have yet to try recent ones, but currently only bont still does that for most of their shoes, other brands dgaf anymore hahacareful with buying new model lakes unless you can try them. some of the super light models are actually not mouldable or have adjustable insoles. I got a 301 wide when my 331 wide died. it was a horrible fit and was not adjustable. only when i replaced the insole with the ones from my old 331 did the new shoe fit enough to be usable. disclaimer: I bought the 301 online because none of the shops in KL had any lakes in my size at the time of purchase |

if untrained, need to follow the 10% rule. gradually increase intensity or duration by 10% weekly, if no baseline better to take it easy, no need care what the spin class instructor says lol.
been watching Dylan Johnson youtube channel, cycling coach. he recommends the polarised training method, been bashing trainer road for all the sweetspot training haha. so just do 80% z2 20% HIIT and you shouldnt get the muscle rhabdomyolysis This post has been edited by radmaszeal: Mar 25 2021, 05:06 PM |

QUOTE(Patt_Hup @ Apr 1 2021, 02:09 PM) Hey guys, do you know where i can find bicycle shop that can change my road bike stem from 70mm to 60mm? I checked most of the shop only has shortest one of 70mm to be safe, find a 60mm stem online and bring to shop, in case the shop doesnt have stock you might need to wait for the shop to order it. typically short stems are used on MTBs, quite rare on roadbikes, shorter stem would affect the handling making it abit twitchier Edwinlkj liked this post

QUOTE(Patt_Hup @ Apr 1 2021, 07:11 PM) Thank you. I'll explore there. link below seems affordable I would choose uno for price/weight best value. carbon wrapped aluminium is usually heavier than plain alu stems, my old bike came with carbon wrapped alu, heavy lol. changed to fizik r:1 alu stem with titanium bolts, much lighter.https://bicyclebuysell.com/item/412681/tose...um-6-degree-new QUOTE(vhs1 @ Apr 2 2021, 01:43 AM) My current tyre koyak edi. what's your budget? goodyear eagle around rm160, read reviews seems like decent value for the price. i've used pirelli p zero, after discount rm180. bought michelin power competition from wiggle/probikekit when on sale around gbp30 about rm150, those 2 sites offer free shipping when purchase value reaches a certain amount. havent tried anything newer than those 2 though.served me well for 10 months without any puncture. Looking to change to Vittoria Zaffiro pro or any suitable within budget. Or top up a bit for better. |
