So apa seatpost you will be buying?

Your left leg shorter due to last time you crash your Versys ka?
*
cincai any carbon seatpost lor. toseek or uno. lazada/shopee banyak

not sure, possible from the crash then after bone healing it shortened, or possible that it is natural, since i dont even realise the length difference. or rather i never pay attention. walking also never notice imbalance.

hmmm... not sure about waist down. but looks like you dont have much hip and back mobilty. core strength is also missing.

the position looks tiring for long rides.

Boleh pakai la... Something cheap to start with, then as you gain experience and knowledge then you'll know what to upgrade to.

Was it hot on the day you wented?  sweat.gif

whole stretch of road is open air bro, no trees on both sides as they actually cut the hills in half (at some part) or runs along the side of a hill with cut cliffs, all barren and tree-less. so as soon as the sun is out whole place is baking.

unlike peres where you still get trees tall enough to cast shadows to shield you from the sun at most parts

some reviews say marin makes good value bike. no other idea aside from that lol.
all the best! yeah, I crashed before during event cos got stuck behind newbies who couldnt keep to their line, kept weaving left and right caught my front wheel. one tip an experienced friend said for events is to start in front, go super hard first 10km to stick to 1st or 2nd peloton when they start breaking into groups, usually more experienced riders there.
friend went yesterday, he said yesterday's weather was ideal, overcast and not hot. I though of joining him but was too tired lol. Go wrong day sure hangus, no shade lol
*
i went in the afternoon as i wanted to avoid the crowd. yes sky still overcast but hot nevertheless. the only place with some cool wind blowing is at the top of first climb from klawang-seremban road, which is tagged as viewpoint in google maps. but totally no shade around there. some people set up stall from their vehicles selling drinks, i foresee soon there will be people building up gerai with tables and chairs. kau tengok lah nanti

another thing, malaysians are truly a bunch of litter bugs. empty bottles, ciggie butts and food wrappers alll strewn around. macam gampang

if you are in garmin environment, proceed w garmin so that all your activity will sync together.
if not, go for bryton for cheaper alternative.
all 3 brands u mention got gps build in no need to tether to your phone.
*
Mau maximise cheap, xoss lor

Or if u don't care about recording and Strava, meilan M5 is a good and cheap GPS bike comp

Have not been cycling for the past 4 months due to various reasons and made-up excuses. So thinking today is the last of the long holidays I should at least ride once.

Cilakak hamjad my sit bone protested kaw2 during the ride back. Painfully butt hurted

QUOTE(cornerpoint @ May 19 2022, 10:42 PM)
Hi Folks,

Just would like to know, is it already allowed to use rear bike rack? Im seeing some using it when going to PCP during the weekend. If not, any recommended bike rack for proton saga? Im unable to put it inside as the rear seat is fixed.

Appreciate the help

Thanks.
*
Legally speaking, no - as it obstructed rear view, number plate & also brake lights.
If kena roadblock, can kena compound/saman, but just plead "kasi chan"
i have a rear rack which i used once but other than that it's kept in store room gathering dust because of this legal risk.

if you havent buy a rear carrier then i highly recommend you getting a roof rack instead. no more legal issue, no more worry & headache.
just make sure to remember when pass toll dont go rfid/smart tag lane, use the left most lorry lane

if you still wish to give a rear rack a try i can sell you mine cheap cheap just PM me. location in kl/selangor

why not saddle bag or frame bag 😅

tools and tube i let my bike carry for me. got saddle bag and a tool bottle.

but phone, cash, keys and wallet - inside the waistpouch. these are important things that must be with person body at all times. cannot let go out of sight punya.
