I got 1st Gen & 2nd Gen Myvi and my GF bought 3rd Gen

1st Gen 2007 - 200k mileage, facing the overheating issue. Changed engine mounting, overhauled the engine once due to water flowed into the engine.
2nd Gen 2011 - 181k mileage, oil seal problem, gear clutch burnt. Performance starts to deteriorate due to wear and tear.
3rd Gen 2018 - 10k mileage, so far so good, new car...

My advice is better to get yourself a new car due to safety issue and poor metal quality from 1st Gen Myvi. Save a few thousand and risk your life not worth la. The depreciation for Myvi is about MYR4k to 5k per year which is much cheaper compared to Vios or City.

I also planned to upgrade new car but no money yet. Hopefully, my 2nd Gen Myvi can last till 200k (my family using first Gen Myvi).
