Sorry, unker had a busy day today - unexpected medical emergency, which took up ½ my morning, so my other outpatients kena backlogged. Anyway, now back home, and I have access to my laptop again, so I can post pictures (which I find myself enjoying doing). Here's how I reduce stress:




Two of my favourite Bordeaux wines - both from Yahudi appellations. We usually buy them ex-Chateau, au premier - which gives us a good price, but also invokes a higher overall cost (because I can't buy just the one or two bottles). We usually buy by either ½ or the full dozen. Both these Rothschilds are rated hundred pointers.

Anyway, to continue on ladytarot99’s theme:

Tonight's was a sumptuous dinner, to make up for the torrid morning session at the surgery. Wife felt like she needed to unwind, and so we brought along a bottle of the 2009 Mouton (this by far, was our favourite vintage - 2009 was an excellent Bordeaux harvest, bar none) and headed over to our favourite rubber man 3 star-rated restaurant...

Please pardon the quality of the photos - half the time I forgot I needed to take photographs and had already chomped into the meal in front of me before I remembered, and also, this is the first time I'm posting from my iphone.

One of the starters (the other was something else that I swallowed before the camera was whipped out, sorry): this was small little potatoes dressed with some herbs and edible flowers and topped with a more than generous serving of caviar:


Followed by an additional dish (they call it a supplement to the prepared menu) - langoustine. It's a succulent, juicy, super tender version of lobster:


I know we had foie gras before the langoustine and something else after, but again, my mouth was faster than my finger, so sorry, no pictures.

The main course - Omi Wagyu beef, medium rare... It. Simply. Melts. In. Your. Mouth...


Desert soon followed the palate cleanser and ice-cream (which again, I forgot to take photos of):

Not a bad way to end the work week - and I have my Hakone holiday to look forward to next!
