Mostly because people could hardly believe the Wira Replacement Model was such as departure from it's predecessor, especially after the boxy Waja.
Personally I still think it is one of the better looking Proton model even by today's standards.

The lines are simpler, so neat and straightforward. Nowhere looks out of portion, all just the right amount, at the right place.
