As far as locally designed cars are concerned, I'd have to say Gen2 turned the most heads when it was first released.

Mostly because people could hardly believe the Wira Replacement Model was such as departure from it's predecessor, especially after the boxy Waja.

Personally I still think it is one of the better looking Proton model even by today's standards.

Yeap, owning one, even in 2019, looks as modern as new models.

The lines are simpler, so neat and straightforward. Nowhere looks out of portion, all just the right amount, at the right place.

Y poll choices so weird. Inspira had a better localise design. Even better looking than the then lancer especially with a R3 lips. Lancer's front end more aggressive but without the power to match.
