I am still using the old plan, which allows 365 for like $35 or so.

I want to switch my wife plan to Hotlink but is there still a way to get a Hotlink prepaid plan that allows 365 validity at a fee?

If so, just walk into a hotlink store and get it done?

Thks in adv !

What a pity. Thks for ur info.

But XOX 2 yrs validity is only 1 time. After 2 yrs it will revert back to the usual RM1 top-up = 1-day validity. Not a long term solution for me as this line is low usage. Furthermore, XOX port in page do not like Unifi as an option so I tried to port in also cannot.

Tune Talk hv a $30+ 365 Validity option. So far this is my only one I found.

Hi, I actually spoke to a customer care officer just a while back about the 365 validity thing. Just sharing what I learned from that long convo.

I'm still using the old HYC plan that charges internet pay-per-use despite having valid internet passes. So the officer suggested that if I still want to get the 365 validity after migrating to new plan (which won't charge for internet pay-per-use), I can migrate from HYC to Hotlink Red, then downgrade to Hotlink# (can be done via *100# acc to him). BUT, the catch is I can only purchase the 365 validity three months after the plan change, and 1st purchase will cost RM60 (subsequent ones will be RM33 as usual).

Not sure if this info will apply to your case, but can always call Hotlink at 123 to double check or drop by one of their stores.

Thks... I think for so much trouble and all the uncertainties, I might just go for Tunetalk or XOX (26 mths validity, then port over to Tunetalk). From what I hear they are using Celcom which is also not too bad coverage for 4G.

But the above info in interesting if I ever want to go with Hotlink (maxis). Thks again.

Hahaha currently the telco is Unifi. Yes very cheap pay RM10 1 gig data no expiry just keep using till finish which can be =3 trips to Msia. I go KL once a mth.

BUT... omg the Unifi is quite unusable, not sure if me or what but after 6 mths of trying its quite bad. No 4G when indoors in places like Kuantan mall... zero upload capability when I am in Bangsar. Its just quite annoying using it.

this is why I want to port out.

What is Hotlink#?
If Hotlink red downgrade to Hotlink#, the credit balance still remain?

I gave up with Unifi after 7 mths of usage over my 5x trips to Msia ... it failed to connect to any 4G when I was inside Kuantan's East Coast Mall, in Bangsar/Damansara few times it failed to upload anything, in NS highway also always no data signal while the Hotlink (Maxis) is still hving a good enough 4G signal. Only good is when in Mid-valley the Unifi 4G was good... but somehow speedtest always shows the upload speed is slow to almost a turtle crawl.

So I already switched to XOX now. So far their FB msg reply is fast (3 hrs to 10 hrs will reply) and the package is actually very ideal for not seasoned users like many who only go to Msia once in 1-2 mths

XOX's Season pass of 20GB for RM100 / 30GB RM150 with NO expiry as long as ur line is still active, is also something I think I can take advantage of.

It is just a confusing name Hotlink give where "#Hotlink" is the plan name, it took away the 365 validity option. Once u upgrade to #Hotlink then u lose that feature but ur credit balance remains the same.

But now no more #Hotlink plan, they movedo n to SUPERRRR and RED .... RED is also a very confusing name for a plan as their App is also called RED

Confusing names they gave to their plans.

If wants good coverage and speed, maxis and Celcom are the two only choices.

Purpose: for my old folks, basically juz looking for cheapest rate with long validity with minimal data usage monthly. (500mb) also sufficient

Hotlink prepaid Fast/Pantas, not hotlink prepaid 1.0 .
Top up RM10 for 30 days validity/active sim OR deduct from credit RM30 for 365 day sim validity.
For data buy 365 day validity data at RM2/1GB or RM4/2GB or RM10/5GB.

Try ask those seller in shopee that still selling the UNI5G simcard about MNP.
If can get long validity with low cost.

UNI5G , NOT Uni5G WOW. There are two different thing.

u want hotlink 365 days right?
then launch the hotlink app, click "myhotlink" button, choose your exist plan name , and click upgrade, then choose "pantas plan".
btw, I'm not sure if any limitation for the "new simpack". If u don't see the upgrade button or pantas plan, maybe u still not qualify to change plan, please try again another month.

u have to purchase 365 days validity for RM30 explicitly.

---
updated: just double check their t&c, seems that u shall convert the plan without any issue. only charge RM2 drool.gif

i'm looking to MNP out from XOX to hotlink 1.0 (then convert app to pantas) (365 validity)

i asked CS at maxis store, if i wanna maintain my number, they told me i couldn't right away MNP to hotlink 1.0, but i needed to take a package first for rm30/month for 6months minimum

is it true?

btw, I'm not sure if any limitation for the "new simpack".  If u don't see the upgrade button or pantas plan, maybe u still not qualify to change plan, please try again another month.

u have to purchase 365 days validity for RM30 explicitly.

---
updated: just double check their t&c, seems that u shall convert the plan without any issue. only charge RM2

How is the process to do this Prepaid Pantas 365days with a new SIMPACK?
Im assuming it goes something like we go the Hotlink Website and purchase the simcard pack (basically generic all equal starter plans?) with RM10. Can't choose number I assume? Then follow through, pay by FPX then wait for the simcard sent, once rcvd then put in phone and got like Rm5 credit maybe ? Or rm10? Later on self topup another rm30 or so then need to use the apps to change the plan to 365 pantas?

Hi all, may I know where can I get the 365 data plan? I only got the 180 days data plan. And after we purchase the 365 data(or the 180 days data) plan, do it come with 5g connectivity?

Are you on Pantas?

And no, 365 is not a 'data plan', it is a validity plan only. You get 365 days of validity. That's all. No data, that must be purchased separately.

If you plan to actually use data, the 180 days plan is more worth it.

Understand. I found the data for 365, which have to purchase separately cost rm2/gb. Is this data got speed cap and can use 5G? Cos for the 180 days data cap at 3mbps.

for internet passes purchased under "Longer Internet Validity" there is no speed cap at the moment, and yes can connect to 5G without additional charges
This is based on my experience using the old Pantas plan, which I assume should be the same for the new one as well

After I change to pantas plan, can I still subscribe to a 5G data plan with no speed cap for a month or two?

And can I purchase an esim directly from the website? Didn't seem to see this option, and push esim onto my iPhone?

Just need for short term use when I'm back home for data. Thanks in advance for the help

yes you can, either monthly internet passes or the "longer internet validity" passes both will grant you 5G data

unfortunately no esim option for Hotlink, only physical sim available

The data will remain (if not exhausted), but you will need to reactivate your account by reload in order to use it.

If its longer than expiry period then no way to get it back unfortunately. You should have gotten SMS warnings along the way. If it expired less than 30 days ago all you need to do is reload. More than 30 days (I think it may be 60? not sure) then sorry to say no way to get back. I've had people try to go to top management in Maxis to ask this also, as far as I know tak jadi.

Please learn to multi-quote....

Anyway is 11 august the expiry of validity or expiry of number? If expiry of validity then just reload money now and can use. If expiry of number then.... sorry no cure.

You can port out from XOX mobile to Hotlink prepaid by online visiting at Hotlink website.
or
Pay a visit at physical maxis store.

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of getting the Hotlink Pantas plan for my mother who just needs it for emergency calls. I read that I can buy a 365 validity plan for RM30 to keep the line active for 365 days.

1. May I know if the voice plan is included in the RM30 or need to pay separately?

2. If I forget to buy another 365 validity plan after it ends, will there be a grace period before my phone number is terminated? And how long?

Thank you! biggrin.gif

1) there's no voice plan include

2) the grace period for hotlink prepaid is 30 days after validity expiry.

Suggestions:
for hotlink prepaid pantas, top up rm10 every month and get sim card validity for 30 days, the accumulate credit balance can be used as emergency call 🤙

After you activate the Pantas Plan, go buy the 365 validity plan for RM30 via the Hotlink App. That will keep your phone number valid for 365 days. As for internet data, you need to buy additional plans also via the Hotlink App. The validity is 365 days or until quota runs out, whichever come first.

But the Pantas Plan is only for Hotlink Prepaid users. Hotlink Postpaid has other plans and as far as I know, there is no 365 validity plan as you need to pay your bills every month.

Hope that helps. icon_rolleyes.gif
