I am still using the old plan, which allows 365 for like $35 or so.

I want to switch my wife plan to Hotlink but is there still a way to get a Hotlink prepaid plan that allows 365 validity at a fee?

If so, just walk into a hotlink store and get it done?

Thks in adv !

What a pity. Thks for ur info.

But XOX 2 yrs validity is only 1 time. After 2 yrs it will revert back to the usual RM1 top-up = 1-day validity. Not a long term solution for me as this line is low usage. Furthermore, XOX port in page do not like Unifi as an option so I tried to port in also cannot.

Tune Talk hv a $30+ 365 Validity option. So far this is my only one I found.

Hi, I actually spoke to a customer care officer just a while back about the 365 validity thing. Just sharing what I learned from that long convo.

I'm still using the old HYC plan that charges internet pay-per-use despite having valid internet passes. So the officer suggested that if I still want to get the 365 validity after migrating to new plan (which won't charge for internet pay-per-use), I can migrate from HYC to Hotlink Red, then downgrade to Hotlink# (can be done via *100# acc to him). BUT, the catch is I can only purchase the 365 validity three months after the plan change, and 1st purchase will cost RM60 (subsequent ones will be RM33 as usual).

Not sure if this info will apply to your case, but can always call Hotlink at 123 to double check or drop by one of their stores.

Thks... I think for so much trouble and all the uncertainties, I might just go for Tunetalk or XOX (26 mths validity, then port over to Tunetalk). From what I hear they are using Celcom which is also not too bad coverage for 4G.

But the above info in interesting if I ever want to go with Hotlink (maxis). Thks again.

Hahaha currently the telco is Unifi. Yes very cheap pay RM10 1 gig data no expiry just keep using till finish which can be =3 trips to Msia. I go KL once a mth.

BUT... omg the Unifi is quite unusable, not sure if me or what but after 6 mths of trying its quite bad. No 4G when indoors in places like Kuantan mall... zero upload capability when I am in Bangsar. Its just quite annoying using it.

this is why I want to port out.

What is Hotlink#?
If Hotlink red downgrade to Hotlink#, the credit balance still remain?

I gave up with Unifi after 7 mths of usage over my 5x trips to Msia ... it failed to connect to any 4G when I was inside Kuantan's East Coast Mall, in Bangsar/Damansara few times it failed to upload anything, in NS highway also always no data signal while the Hotlink (Maxis) is still hving a good enough 4G signal. Only good is when in Mid-valley the Unifi 4G was good... but somehow speedtest always shows the upload speed is slow to almost a turtle crawl.

So I already switched to XOX now. So far their FB msg reply is fast (3 hrs to 10 hrs will reply) and the package is actually very ideal for not seasoned users like many who only go to Msia once in 1-2 mths

XOX's Season pass of 20GB for RM100 / 30GB RM150 with NO expiry as long as ur line is still active, is also something I think I can take advantage of.

It is just a confusing name Hotlink give where "#Hotlink" is the plan name, it took away the 365 validity option. Once u upgrade to #Hotlink then u lose that feature but ur credit balance remains the same.

But now no more #Hotlink plan, they movedo n to SUPERRRR and RED .... RED is also a very confusing name for a plan as their App is also called RED

Confusing names they gave to their plans.

If wants good coverage and speed, maxis and Celcom are the two only choices.
