QUOTE(pw8799 @ Dec 13 2019, 10:30 PM) No need for any extra supplements if you are in good shape. Walking is a very good natural exercise, doing it everyday will naturally increase your bone density and cartilage health. Just be sure you have a balanced diet that contains good nutrients and vitamins and then you're good to go! Glucosamine doesn't really work, to be honest, at least for me and for most experts. I once took glucosamine when I was recovering from my knee injury and it wasn't very effective... I had stopped eating it and my knee improved just by eating the right food and doing light physical exercises such as walking and cycling. Oh... my knee was so bad that I couldn't even walk. |

Just copy pasting my reply from another very similar thread.
First things first: walking a lot doesn't weaken your bones, but it probably affects your joints (especially your knees) Supplements for bones: Calcium (With Vitamin D if you don't get enough sunlight and Vitamin K to prevent calsification of your blood vessels due to the extra calcium) note: I wrote a bit about calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K in this blog post. Feel free to have a read and comment if you have any questions. But I doubt that you will need a calcium supplement, unless you have a fractured bone before. Supplements for joints: Most recommended: Glucosamine and chondroitin They work well together and are quite proven to slow down the deterioration of joints. Consider taking it together with MSM if you have joint pain already Fish oil - recommended for everyone anyway but in your case, fish oil is a natural anti-inflammatory which helps to improve joint function and prevent joint pain. Other supplements: Collagen type II Olive extract Boswellia Serrata (Out of all the supplements on this list, Boswellia is most proven - second to glucosamine) Green lipped mussel Brand wise - You can consider livewell Ostesamin + Chondroitin asit is a bit more affordable than other brands. Blackmores joint formula is another brand that I recommend to my customers. I think that's about it. Feel free to pm me if you would like a free personal supplement consultation. |

glucosamine + chondroitin + msm from doctors best works great for my mom. higher doses of omega 3 fish oil can help too. Turmeric has anti inflammatory effects which may help u as well but if u dont eat enough you can substitute for curcumin + bioperine (bioperine is necessary to absorb curcumin supplement properly). You should also try ATG exercise programs, very good for joints and health overall.
supplements can get from iherb, please consider helping me and using my discount code DGQ0670 |

Need to be careful with D3/Calcium intake Some need to pair with K2 so calcification doesn't happen.
