Same boat. But it's not as bad as previous generational jumps. it's more like the jump from xbox one to one x and my one x still has a lot of life in it.
Currently playing Immortals fenyx rising which is a decent breath of the wild clone.

Yeah the current gen games are not huge jumps in terms of graphics. They are more like better versions of existing games, kind of like the difference between a game running on PC and the same game running on consoles. But I still feel the Series X has a leg up on the One X. The faster loading is a given of course. Then there's quick resume. Also, back compatible games can still make use of HDR, and also higher frame rates. I would retire my One X completely if it means I can still play all my old games without having to hook up all my consoles.
for me it's a huge jump from One S to Series X booted up some older games on the Series X making me doubt my eyes, are those the same games I've played on my One S?
most felt like a totally new game with much faster loading time, better framerate and the auto HDR
remember some games that let you read some lore or tips during the loading screen? I can't read those anymore, loading is done before I got chance to finish reading them
