7.

Is it true?cos i'm thinking of buying dis R version..wut common problem?firmware problem?screen respond?aiyakkk~!!
so how is other viewty users?can u help me?
*
Well loading videos is fast but loading pictures is totally disappointing compared to the SE and Nokia phone. I am not sure what is the problem, probably the picture size is too big? For a Super Fine quality picture, it easily reach 1mb per picture. Perhaps this could be the culprit. Anyway I am not too sure if buying SDHC memory card will solve this problem.

Anyway that shouldn't be a problem because the LCD is too small to see the picture because what you see from phone and what you see in LCD is a different story. The picture in the LCD may be sharp but in actual LCD it may be blur. That's the thing that has been playing in mind biggrin.gif

I suggest you take the R version. What am I trying to explain that even though the R version come out later than the original 990 series, it does not fix the common problems faced by Viewty owners. In order to give you a clearer picture, you can try visiting the 990 forums. smile.gif

well icehart..erm,can viewty being used with 8gb memory card?i'm goin to take the R version..but now ah..i really confused..huaaa...
*
According to the manual, you can't. But there are ways. smile.gif

In order for the phone to support 8GB external memory, you will need to load up the memory with 6.1GB worth of files, movies, sounds and other files in order for the phone be able to read it. The phone can only detect your memory if it's less than 2GB. Hope this helps. smile.gif

How to connect my Viewty to pc thru bluetooth ya? smile.gif
I can't seems to do it.
Using 2 computer, 1 is notebook built-in bluetooth and another 1 is desktop & using bluetooth dongle.
Both also using Windows Bluetooth wizard..
Any idea how to do it?
Because i want to transfer file between my pc and viewty using bluetooth, too lazy to connect the USB wire.
they can't even find my viewty at all..
I tried with Nokia 5310 and it didn't create any single problem.

Why don't you try Mass Storage setting instead of data service?

How to do it? smile.gif
Is this option available for bluetooth?
*
Phone settings > Connectivity > USB connection mode > Mass Storage

After that try reconnect the USB cable. It will treat the phone like a thumbdrive smile.gif

So what value is recommended?
It can be set back to original value if after we change the db value right? smile.gif
Because i want to change the value but some complain facing problem after changing the db value
*
You need to remember the db value when you change it. Hard resetting the phone will not by any chance, reset the changes made in the hidden menu. Well I personally find nothing important and useful in the hidden menu other than changing the db value for stereo headset volume. Well, I don't want to risk increasing the volume of the speaker although there's option for it. Later speaker kong you high jor that time.

Ya lor... smile.gif
Some more this phone not cheap..
If only few hundred i sure try it....
But how about earphones?
Because i feel that it's quite low in terms of volume for some song.
But someone say after changing the volume, the quality becomes sucks...
And yes, even factory reset won't restore the value to original.
*
About the earphone,

I changed it to a branded earphone instead of using those supplied with LG. Firstly, it's too short and secondly branded earphones produce better sound quality. The question whether the quality will degrade will depends on the song. Some song will produce the same quality even if the volume is at it's peak. Some song may suffer from loss of quality resulting in low quality of sound.

In case you suffer the degradation in quality, just simply shift the volume to 6 or 5 in order to enjoy the same quality.

Hello all,
im interested in getting a KU990, R version.
but I cant seems to find it at Malaysia..
was asking at sg wang just now,
but they told me the one with lens cover is called KE990  rclxub.gif
I told them KU990R is with 3G they got no idea at all..

How come I cant found this phone in Malaysia?
search for it at lyn garage sales also no luck,
and one of the them told me even KU990 itself is going to be discontinued..

anyone know where can I get it?  icon_question.gif
Thank you in advance.

KE990 is the American version of the Viewty. Currently KE990 has no 3G support for the phone but it has EDGE support for the phone. You can try buying from Singapore for the R version, which is with the lens cover.

As far as I know, Viewty is being replaced by Secret. smile.gif

already add theme...but da fon getting lag day after day...damn..hate it...want to clear all da theme..huhu...
*
Have you installed the theme properly? As far as I know, when I install a new theme, it does not get slower and slower day by day. Of course, the default theme which is black would be the fastest.

QUOTE(C-Note @ Nov 11 2009, 01:05 AM)
Well, as long as the dial returns to its original point it should be fine  smile.gif How loose is it?

Anyway, been using the Viewty for a year. I must say its an awesome phone with a damn good camera and video playback(DiVx FTW!!)

The ONE and ONLY one drawback is its speed  cry.gif normal usage is fine. Nightmare hits me when I access multimedia functions like videos..songs..etc. Heck, I can't even access My Music because it LITERALLY takes forever to load and update and whatever. I have no choice but to access through My Sounds but it takes around 30seconds at least too...much better BUT that's not what I expect  doh.gif Viewing pictures gives me migraines as its freaking embarassing to load in front of my peers.  yawn.gif

Just wondering, has anyone experienced this? Just a thought, it claims it can only support up to 2gb of memory card size but I chug in a 4GB memo(according to ku990.co.uk which is no longer available, it will work) and yes it does. I get all my songs and stuff but in Settings they only show that my '2GB' card is full. Does all this ordeal have anything to do with the card?

Thanks!!!
*
Let me answer some of the questions for you. smile.gif

All LG phones are like that, they are slow when you are accessing multimedia files such as music or videos. There is something to do with their firmware with the suffix a,b,c. Check out all these firmwares and see which one works best for you.

The phone can support up to 4GB indirectly. You can insert as much files as you want to your memory card but never reformat your card with Viewty. Viewty will only displays your card as 2GB maximum irregardless of 4GB or 16GB card you're using. smile.gif
