Size of boat is about 30feet+-(as per my memories ler) not too big nor small. Can fit 4~5 pax comfortably. Boatman excluded.

The depth is about 32m which is similar to P9 nia. The jig weight is estimated from 40~100 max nia.

Bro Ho,
All the boat got toilet. All you need to do is to fire your gun out of the boat.

The boatman is not willing to take it till late night. I was told by them that there's no where to hide when storm comes. There is no island in sight/near but you still can see the mainland faintly.

I asked the boatman is because of the EGI-ing only...squidding ler

This round we're heading to Merchong not Rompin. Janggut is famous for Rompin.

The schedule will be similar, where we depart at 10pm, reaching the location at 2am. Then rest and sleep till about 7am and b'fast. Then we head to hunt for sailfish.

The billfish stuffs
Rod: PE1~3(Suicide style) PE2~4(boleh fight) PE5 above(preferred as it will not cause much stress for the sailfish)
Line: 10lb(Uncle Thomas style) 20lb(Will cause stress to the fish cos DARE not pump) 30lb(cukup cukup nia) 40lb above(Preferred)
Reel: 200~300m line would be more preferred
Method: Drifting with/without balloon

The baits for the billfish is live selar where you will need to obtain from apollo jig.

Weather: The same weather when we go and when we come back, CLOUDY with winds. Zero sun

Me and bro Chun on inflatable. Splashes were plenty but when wind kicks in, it's hard for us to spot the splashes.

There are plenty of fries around. Momma toman struck my lure twice but no hook up. Bro Chun had his luck when a 2kg~ toman struck his spinner bait. I never seen toman struck spinner bait and this is an eye opener for me.

Other than the ONLY toman caught by bro chun with light tackle, there were no other catches. Apparently there's Belida @ FeatherBack at the spot as well. We saw one big one dead by the banks.

Awaiting bro Nico to confirm the participants for the 4th boat.

Once confirmed, i will collect payment for the boats.

RM550(boat + lodging) divided by 4 pax = Rm137.5

I will collect the full payment as the sum is not huge. The sum i will collect from the co-ordinator of the respective boat.

There is no more boat for Bro Nico's team but the owner suggest that we take 2 boat(4pax) and 1 big boat for 7pax.

For the small boat, there is no change of pricing. The small boat is at RM500 per day for 4pax. The chalet is Rm50 for 4pax. Self divide yah

For the bigger boat, it is Rm750 per day for 7~8pax. The chalet fee remains the same which is at Rm50 for 4 pax. Self divide between 8 of us. As for 66(Kenny's wife) there is no fee on the boat since she is not fishing. If she's fishing then we need to include her in the fee.

Your boat is the smaller vessel that can fit 4~5 pax.

You need to invite one more pax ler..

Cheaper but more cramp lor... but i foresee not everyone will jig at the same time referring to the last few trips Sure got people rest one mah...

My justification for merging boat 1 and boat 2.

1. There is 2 lady on the boat
2. If they get boring, at least they can chat together
3. Bigger boat means less rocky - benefits the ladies, for guys i think no problem

Bro Ho,

Even the small vessel can do 4 person for sailfish~!!...

The reason i suggest to have 2 setup for sailfish is to avoid all the line tangling issues..

With the speed the Sail is going, it takes fraction of seconds to burst your 40lb or even 60lb line!

As for the larger boat, perhaps can do 3 Sail

Be it 2 or 3 line being laid out, it will be fought alternately each time the sail takes the bait. My last year trip was quite good where every angler have their chance to fight and land their sailfish. Not sure about this round. No one can guarantee the catch rate

My target is to jig and do popping if possible. Of course a sailfish for me would be good

No one can guarantee your chance to catch and land a sailfish.

It's is very dependable on the sailfish mood. As long as the bait is being deployed, it is fairly up to your 99%(LUCK)

Unlike lures or popping or jigging, it depend on the way that you jig or pop that manage to trigger the fishes to strike.
