Merchong Village

From the village of Merchong, Pahang located close to the mouth of the Merchong river, good class fibreglass vessels are available for game fishing. These boats head for the 'unjangs' (fish attracting devices) about 20km offshore where Sailfish are a common catch. Other species include Barracuda, Narrow barred Mackerel, Dolphinfish and various species of Trevally. This is a day trip fishery only with anglers returning to shore in the late afternoon. go there jig jig for sotong laaa ... surely FRESH one maa .. hehehehe
just in case u didnt notice .. this is more of a jig jig trip .. but i suppose u can talk to your boatmates if u wanna play bottom .. hehehehe

kar chang .. PE 1-3 .. roughly 30lbs or so enuff liauu laa .. but make sure u have alot of line capacity on your reel .. coz i heard tetek said last trip he went kena sailfish .. fish 1st run no chance to brake take out around 100m+ of line liauu .. then only can start playing .. hehehehe

departure will be on friday nite (14th sept) as early as possible after work .. the reach there as early as possible to get enuff rest fo the following day of fishing .. come back to shore after fishing in the evening (15th sept) .. makan tido tok kok .. sunday (16th sept) BALIK !!! huahaahhaaa

i think u should roughly get the idea liauu laa .. wait for tetek to give very detailed details laaa .. huahahahahaaa

sifu q, 30lb color color line can ar... if strip 100m only i still ok... cos my 4000 size reel can fit 200m niah... wor... ada cukup kar... hehehe

Added on August 11, 2007, 10:54 amhrrmm line wont be a issue i suppose.. heheh coz i had around 400-440m of braid loaded on my reel.. if sailfish can strip off all of it.. den i give up n tar pau balik lor hahaha xD
btw whut i concern bout was the traveling schedule la..
