My friends released their 1st single and hire me to make a music video for them
I normally shoot weddings & events only, never shoot this kind of video
Any comment on my 1st project? Improvement or suggestion maybe?
p/s: i shot the video while music was running 125% and in editing i drop it to 80% to make it back to normal speed so their movement will look like abit slow-mo but playing & singing at normal speed in the final edit
if u guys sudi, subscribe to my channel k

1. 4 minutes MV is rather long. Should shoot another fresh few scene on 2nd half of clip. 2 minutes underground and parking lot of hypermarket. The next 2 minute other locations. The song could change "mood/tempo".
2. Asking them to clown around is fine, good. Usage of car lamp sangat bajet but effective. Invest on lamps. Set up more props at background. Shadow could be seen when camera moving.
3. The group have talent as a whole band, gooding. Did they record at studio? Belanja berapa?
4. Noticed a little camera shake. Hands quite steady when dolly but never too far.

Yeah, the second half should set a different scene, maybe like pasar malam night scene or playground park. I just feel the color palette abit flat, dont compliment the quirky music. But basement is still fine nonetheless, just wish there would be some greens or bright color shirt or something.
The lyrics is terrible. You can definitely improve the subtitles instead of making it look very basic. I understand it will require more editong and effort, but to me this is what differs from pro/amateur edit. In fact, its probably cleaner to go without any lyric subtitle.
I do love your clever trick of making the video looks slower but at the same time snyc with the music.
Some nice fisheye lense shot would be nice to add more movement to the group action. This can easily be done by using gopro. Example is polaroid-sakura band. Of course that one they used quite a lot in their mv. Im merely suggesting if u wanna make in another video.
The band music is nice, very talented. Subscribed.
from noobie perspective...duno y i feel abit too long the mv..mayb half of the scene no need focus too much on the band... song is catchy but now days, the trend is max 3 min...overall good job ts...
Too many scenes that you did not blur the background. The singer/band members should be the the focus point in this kind of music video. No reason for people to see the background unless there is significant meaning to it. My eyes were going everywhere watching the video. The background scene is so plain and boring, you should really blur it out.
wow..tat s really a good advice..after seeing tis, we know wat wats wrong....
