have u received any medical advice regarding alkaline water benefits for gout?
because basically there is no scientific proof that alkaline water is good for consumption, and most direct sales MLM selling alkaline water filter/machine are pure marketing gimmicks. |

QUOTE(tictac88 @ Nov 30 2019, 01:45 PM) What brand? Not a fan of tea thoughQUOTE(geforce88 @ Nov 30 2019, 01:55 PM) have u received any medical advice regarding alkaline water benefits for gout? Actually yes, but only from those massage/cupping therapy, cousin, elderly.because basically there is no scientific proof that alkaline water is good for consumption, and most direct sales MLM selling alkaline water filter/machine are pure marketing gimmicks. QUOTE(hft @ Nov 30 2019, 03:26 PM) Other than allopurinol to prevent (before it hit you), just drink plenty of plain water, hydrate your bloodstream with water. Look at colour of your urine, must be clear. 6-8 litres of water per day. Fuhh 6-8 Litres. No side effect? I really want to avoid medicines.Eating those Gout pills with painkiller i think already f*ck up my kidney. QUOTE(hft @ Nov 30 2019, 03:28 PM) Im no expert, so Im hoping for more opnions on this.Because, based on my experience Mineral Water and drinking water perform differently in the body, so why not Alkaline? I noticed drinking mineral water somewhat makes you sweat easier during exercise compared to drinking water (And pee more often). |

QUOTE(trencher10 @ Nov 30 2019, 03:35 PM) Rather than donate money to these MLMs, just donate blood https://www.google.com/search?q=phlebotomy+gout QUOTE Therefore, phlebotomy is suggested as therapy for gout patients, in order to eliminate the accumulated Fe. Furthermore, yearly blood donation is recommended for males with a family history of gout, so as to prevent Fe accumulation and avoid gout. Well yes, those blood cupping is this i guess. Extract all the toxins in the body. |

QUOTE(Cha3m @ Dec 1 2019, 08:11 AM) Nope. Although I am not against cupping, I regard it as inefficient due the relatively low level amount of blood involved and general wastage in the procedure, given the availability of blood donation services AND according to the trial therapy regimen described in one of the search result, blood testing for blood iron levels (not so much to prevent anaemia, but to reach the near-iron deficiency criteria). If you are already under the care of a doctor who knows your diagnosis of gout, suggest a simplified blood donation schedule matched with blood testing for iron levels. |

QUOTE(Cha3m @ Nov 30 2019, 01:49 PM) gout problem most likely is because of diet.but of coz need to diagnose as suggest by doctor and then change your diet. you can sign some gym or get a personal trainer to give you the right exercises and eat balance. if you think you have lots of money here. not sure how many times need to tell this drinking alkaline water does not change your body ph level. when you go colder place, say -2 celcius country. does your body temperature change to -2 celcius? no, it will still stay the same. alkaline water is just a marketing gimmick, be it sold by mlm or any brand. don't forget before alkaline, we have RO water, which earlier also claim has benefit to health. but at the end, it is not proven. no one drink RO water now. from RO>Alkaline> many more gimmick to come. but still many fall into the trap. |
