Actually I think in your case an open concept is better. Having a divider does make the space smaller.

In my case I explored most options. Sliding door is probably ok looking although not the most practical but I think we are ok due to limited traffic through that door.

I have a feeling you are leaning more towards aesthetics than functionality.

Well there are wood-grain finished film for Aluminium. Another option

But the mechanism is different for alu vs wood. There is no point to get wood grain but with less visually impact alu mechanism.
