 Looping Wall Plug vs Extension Cords, Difference?

Regardless of looping or extension cord being used on a single point going to the db, just make sure the total current being consumed is less than 10A.

Layman example:

a) 1 A/c, 2 fans, few lights and 2 laptops should be fine

b) 1 a/c, 1 kettle, 1 iron, 2 fans, 1 mini toaster, 2 laptops esp if all used at the same time will be looking for trouble.


This is a safety margin you need to safeguard not too much on the mcb side but the wiring consideration as poor wiring (esp in the extension cords) can get overheated even before the 13A mcb trips.
