Been looking at 2 models, both Samurais.
1) Padi 2) Save the Ocean Collection - Great White Shark Leaning towards the Padi first, probably along the way might scoop up the Save the Ocean edition - the blue is just too beautiful. ![]() |

Yeah I rarely see this model / colorway on people's wrist. I would lean towards oceans first then padi Also, I noticed the PADI Samurai has 2 versions, Japan edition and non-Japan wordings. Are there any difference aside from the JAPAN Movement wordings? This post has been edited by andrewtho: Dec 18 2019, 11:30 AM |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Dec 18 2019, 11:30 AM) Thanks! Yeah I rarely see this model / colorway on people's wrist. is the same quality in both K and J so shouldn't make much difference where the watch was manufacturedAlso, I noticed the PADI Samurai has 2 versions, Japan edition and non-Japan wordings. Are there any difference aside from the JAPAN Movement wordings? J series tends to be more popular for collectors / resale value and people tend to pay more for the Made In Japan written on the dial compared to K series which has Movt Japan and usually made locally here in msia |

QUOTE(seiken @ Dec 24 2019, 11:45 PM) the price increment from the old sarb017 is just insanefor this amount with unsigned crown too. can't they even bring back the crown from the sarb017 I think seiko increasing the pricing will kill a lot of mid tier jdm watch collectors that adores this brand for their affordability as opposed to swiss counterparts |

QUOTE(kl920930 @ Dec 25 2019, 01:03 AM) the price increment from the old sarb017 is just insane seiko already been increasing prices of the 6r models like the sumo / shogun... then the newer 6rmas / mm200...for this amount with unsigned crown too. can't they even bring back the crown from the sarb017 I think seiko increasing the pricing will kill a lot of mid tier jdm watch collectors that adores this brand for their affordability as opposed to swiss counterparts while 4r models are taking over the old 6r prices. that's why i think those "rumors" of alpinist / sarb getting discontinued is for ppl to quickly buy off remaining stocks... of cos that backfired abit since they're still readily available. looking at the trend, the discontinued applies more to the 6r15... the models with 6r15 are just casualties... then those models will later get upgraded with 6r35...like sumo / alpinist... |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Dec 25 2019, 04:50 PM) Hard to say la. the 017 @ usd400 is now being touted as a fantastic price, which to me is mind boggling given what we paid for it just a few years back.Seiko is pushing it's price point higher and justifying it with the LE or upgraded spec game, but I guess that isn't unexpected. |
