Question as per title..
got side-business of renting cars out to grab drivers.
wonder if i should send the cars to service at official SC while they are under warranty period or should i just forego it and send to my usual mechanic only..

I think u still can claim warranty but by less period/mileage covered. A lot of my friends who bought bezza for grab still can claim warranty for broken/problematic spare parts This post has been edited by andrwss: Nov 24 2019, 09:12 AM

I ask at perodua sc, they wont void your warranty because you drive a lot (i.e. e-hailing) but ofc at same time you dont have to tell them you do ehailing.. just say you drive a lot.. under no circumstances they able to void your warranty for you using your car for its intended purposes... so long as you keep your warranty alive by servicing at official SCs and not exceeding 10k km/6 months or done any modifications to the car.. And with that said, ive seen many many grab drivers who still able to claim warranty for certain problems.. so clearly they dont automatically void your warranty for doing grab.. doesnt make sense also. What if you grab part time only and your car is under mileage.. how they even know who does grab or who doesnt...

Choose option 1, at least something happen within that warranty, you can still claim. For oil and filter, you can usually buy outside and just ask them to change it for you, which is cheaper. Don't know about Perodua but Proton SC I do that. Second, always service according to the recommendation if you want to keep your car in good shape, as it is called preventive maintenance, not wait until everything kaput then you spend a lot to repair. Just my humble opinion, but it's your car, so you decide which is best fit to you.

Yes last time sc won't know our cars are used for ehailing, my friends also no problem claiming warranty. BUT thing might change after regulation, which jpj automatically changed our vehicle code to AH in MySIKAP, which can be checked by public.
