Hi has anyone bought Windows 10 key from Lazada before? It's just RM8 per key. It sounds too good to be true, what's the catch?

Hi of course its not legit but can be use until its over activated by a few hundreds times.

It can be activated for few hundreds times!? How does it work exactly?

These keys are sold by unscrupulous individuals who have access to keys meant for big organisations (think of universities, big MNC, etc).

They will work but if you have to reinstall or reformat Windows you will lose that key. If you call Microsoft to re-activate your Windows, they can even pinpoint which organisation/company that key belongs to.

Kindly, visit the official website of Microsoft website od Microsoft and buy your Office product from there.

After collecting US$ thousands for Win 10 Ent/Pro Volume Lisensing, M$ allows enterprises the facility to setup their own KMS server to self-activate their Win 10 Ent Volume Licensing on hundreds or thousands of their computers using ONE common KMS/MAK key. As a condition, M$ only allows this key to be activated for only 18 months = the computers need to be reactivated by the KMS server every 18 months.

Cheap Win 10 keys at about RM5 each sold at shopee or Lazada are often such keys that have been illegally leaked by employees = such keys will only last 18 months before becoming deactivated since the gullible key-buyers' computers are not connected to the particular enterprise's KMS server.

Universities also give such "free" Win 10 Education/Pro Volume Licenses to their students but such licenses have actually been heavily discounted by M$ for universities/colleges. Students may also leak and sell such "illegal" keys cheaply at shopee or Lazada.

In China, India and Russia, pirates setup their own KMS servers to reactivate pirated copies of Win 10 Ent/Pro every 18 months because the governments there condone Windows piracy.

Those keys are very likely legit-imate, eg computer shops or OEM system builders who sell pre-build desktop computers to consumers often buy non-transferable OEM Windows licenses in bulk from M$ at a discount via M$'s agents/distributors/CSP. A non-transferable OEM Win 10 Home/Pro license costs about US$50/$100(= what M$ also charges Dell, HP, Acer, etc for each new OEM Win 10 Home/Pro computer that they sell) and then the computer shops may sell such extra OEM Win 10 licenses online at a profit.
....... In comparison, a transferable Retail WIn 10 Home/Pro license costs US$139/$199 from M$'s website.

Yes, it is legit. Check it out in Shopee too. I already bought the keys many times. Also got help friends to buy and activate their PC after reformat to Windows 10.

The Windows 10 Pro OEM COA sticker and the Windows 10 Pro OEM DVD/USB pack, are both the same except one with DVD/USB media?

One is cheaper by 50% than the other on shopee. One cost RM60 while the other cost RM120.

Are they different from those keys costing RM10 and below?

If the COA sticker the same as the DVD/USB media pack except without the media. I'm thinking of buying a few for current and future use since one media pack cost can buy 2 sticker.

Forgot to mention I'll be doing a reformat and reinstall a few times.

The current windows trial I think is corrupted but still can use except the annoying activating screen watermark, it even showup in games.

No, they are not legit. The only place that you can get a legit windows activation key is from the manufacturerrs of windows themselves. Let me ask you something. If you really wanted to buy an iphone and you hadtwo places you can buy it. The first is an iphone store and the second is an electronic store. Where would you go to nuy the i phone. All of these vedors that sell windows activation keys are all pirates. Microsoft has never given people activativation keys so that they can sell them on their behalf. All of these keys are acquired by illegal means. Buying the key from microsoft may be expensive but it is the best option for you. If you cannot affored to buy it at such an expensive price then you have probably heard of the KMS activator that activates both windows os and microsoft office for 18 month and then have to be activated again. You can go for that option instead. it is completely free and you have nothing to worry about. You can use it to activate as many computers as possible.

This is difficult to answer. This is what i know

Some of these keys are original, purchase in bulk usually with corporate or university discounts, and some entrepreneurial guy who has access to these special discounts figure out that he can make money by reselling them. Technically is legal in many countries, because they purchase from microsoft legally (although with big discount). and some countries' courts told MS this can be resell by law

So using a crack is safer than buying those cheap keys?
Those cheap keys require no installation of any software nor do you need to run any cracks whereas KMS activator hacks into your registry & if you download from the wrong source, it may be infected with virus/malware/trojan/spyware/ransomware

save your RM8, dont even give easy money to online sellers.
Win 10 is usable without activation. it will only nag you to activate and some features like personalization doesnt work. it will not lock you out or anything like that if you dont activate.

Just sharing.

I just build a PC and download Windows 10 from original Microsoft website.

When installation, it asked for license keys, but I chose skip.

Then during installation, I login to my Microsoft Account and then its activated already. I didnt insert any keys though.

I remember I changed mobo a few weeks ago, and windows 10 detecting the machine have something changed so its suddenly not activated anymore.

I just login again to my Microsoft account and then its activate and works as usual again.

Windows : Windows 10 Pro
Activation : Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft Account.

We CALLED Microsoft to Check if $12 Windows 10 PRO Keys are LEGIT...
