So for Bumi, priority will be ASB2, ASB, AHB, ASB3, EPF, ASM?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 4 2023, 10:53 PM) Yup. Somehow correct 😁 Yeah. ASB and ASB2 is no brainer. The question is after those two, which one comes next. Easy way to think is to put in whatever is available first, since AHB, ASB3, ASM are all limited fund, so hunting them is going to be a challenge. Thus ASM might be something Bumi wanted to get into as well since its available now hehe.ASMx is the bottom of the list for sure... EPF probably just because of mandatory contribution.... Top choice is always ASB & ASB 2 For EPF, its really a question of liquidity, except if u already have 1mil in your EPF, which puts it at the top priority based on last year dividen. QUOTE(lucifah @ May 5 2023, 09:45 AM) AHB or amanah hartanah berhad is not under PNB or related to ASNB Yup, AHB is under PHB. I also looked at it before and agree it wasnt as good before. But recent downward trend with dividen from ASNB funds makes AHB worth considering. And if you are muslim, AHB is also nett after zakat. Last dividen was 5%. That said, when ASNB fund doing better and dividen might see an uptick in the future, AHB mighy not follow suit.the name might be almost similar, but it is totally different. tried it, nothing imporessive. pull out all money. and that was i think 8 - 10 yrs ago? |

QUOTE(alpha team @ May 5 2023, 04:34 PM) ya that the bad side of the ASM, only RM2k for withdrawal, need to walk in to branch if wan to withdraw more than that. but overall i think still can put small sum of money into ASM. maybe RM20k. U are comparing asm with FD, how is it a downside to be able to withdraw 2k online monthly, vs not able to withdraw at all until mature for FD? |

It is very clear that pnb is distributing more in dividen than income last year, both for asm and asb2. I calculate if pnb gives 100% of last year income as dividen, for asb2 itll be 4.3% and ASM 3.46%. As per previous poster explanation of NAV, to keep the price fixed at 1, when funds doesnt perform as good, they need to use previous years income to topup. If i understand correctly. At the same time, new funds injected to the funds by increasing limit of asb1/2 by100k, and asm 5b new units, will also improve pnb fluidity and cash flow, so they will have more AUM to continue to push those capital into equity (local and hopefully diversify overseas as well) thus hopefully will result in better income next year. OPR hike definitely will help too. Just my 2cents. How much of those are new fresh funds, who knows. Im pretty sure majority of it are just people transfering funds from one to another unless someone just received huge bonus etc lol. QUOTE(markedestiny @ May 22 2023, 11:21 AM) Based on historical data available, the possibilities of ASM 2&3 giving out more than ASM1 in div payout are quite low and unlikely... Same can be said about asb2. But asb2 did gives higher payout than asb1 this time. MattSally liked this post

QUOTE(Wolves @ May 23 2023, 09:51 AM) Kwsp treat i-saraan same as self contribution with only difference of 15% (this year) gov matching contributions. As a member under this incentive, you will receive a 15% government contribution (a maximum of RM300/year [Effective 1 Jan 2018]) on top of your own contributions. |

The super rich usually just hired banks or hedge funds to manage their money. They dont bother doing it themselves

I see no reason for PNB to top up dividen for ASM 2 and 3 since there is no additional funds available unlike asm1.

Its a mixed of things. 100k limit, but at the same time asb and asb2 also increase quota by 100k each, and bow epf also increase additional 40k. So many new additional funds all at the same time.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 8 2023, 12:23 PM) Actually speaking.... Some bumi might not look at asm but once they filled up both asb, their option are limited to either the poorly performing tabung haji, or other funds like asb3, ahb, or asm and epf. From personal viewpoint.... Bumi won't even look at ASM.... Why bother dumping $$$ into the fund that give lower dividend rate.... Especially from the eyes of Bumi T20 (lower group don't need to think because even the old 200k limit also hard to achieve).... About the EPF thingy... If u realized.. the new limit is delayed like 2 month.... Don't really know the actual reason.... But speculation going around is to give ASM1 new 5bil units ahead first month... That why 1 May for ASM1 & 1 June for EPF (expecting 5bil to fill up in 1 month time but that plan gone case) Asb got first priority as their increase of quota happened in april, the only asm got their chance on may. If asb didnt increase their quota as well.. those bumi will or might put some of that cash in asm |

If we go back to original bonus meaning for asb, it is only for the investment amount that has been in asb for more than 10 years. It is prorated though, so the calculation of bonus for amount that did not yet reached 10 years will be divided by 1/120 month. nexona88 liked this post
