Guys I have a question,
With the recent increment to 300k
Is it wise to just put all in into asnb instead of keeping in FDs and even Versa
I have put a considerable amount in asnb by now just wonder to put in more or not
Have some funds still was thinking of opening another premier account in a new bank I donโ€™t have premier status yet , either that or just dump more into asnb as it is hard to come by

it is all about the relative dividend/interest
*
Yes that was the question
Was asking for historical chart of average FD rate vs asm dividend
Anyone has it

If asnb wanted all their 5B ASM to be taken up fast, declare 5% dividend for ASM2 would do the magic.
*
At current OPR I actually think anything less than 5 is low

QUOTE(Wolves @ Aug 14 2023, 01:43 PM)
I smell greed... Asm is not you want declare how much is how much one la. You need to see how the fund manager is doing and how much asset evaluation. If like what you say then all fund manager and unit trust must be fired lo. I am sure most if not all from 2022 still red or losing money lo. How to compare like that? Like that 12 months FD from oct 2022 how? Need to fire them or not? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Don't like that la.. so if opr jatuh 0.5% we need to straight away reduce dividend even though we are at good position and earning more? Like that kira ah? ๐Ÿ˜‚ cannot be what... But then again... I also want 5% asm2 dividend this year... ๐Ÿ˜‚ who don't want extra money.. but realistic a bit la boss... Last year 3.75%.. so far only 2 x 0.25% increase in opr... Base on that max 4.25% bah.. correct or not? If you kira pakai opr la.. i still estimate 4.75% today coz fund went up overall from last year.. so... Dont pakai opr like that la boss.. its not FD.. its a "fund"..

Anyway.. 17 more days counting down~~
*
Actually I thought it has been well known that often the dividend pay out is not exact reflection of the actual fund performance for ASNB?

One important thing you have missed. There may only have been a 0.5% rise in OPR since the last dividend announcement for ASM2 but all (or nearly all) of the previous OPR rises had not had a full year to influence the dividend in 2022. Most had only had a few months. This year we have the 0.5% rise in OPR to factor in plus the fact that ALL the previous OPR rises have now had a full year to influence the dividend. I think that is worth quite a lot in terms of dividend.

I welcome a 6% and above dividend

I wonder why they donโ€™t have a tier system like banks , premier and privilege banking to encourage more ppl to invest in ASNB
Maybe above 500k you get silver status, above 1mil u get platinum where you have personal staff or contact point to put additional funds
Above 3m maybe you get to contact someone personally to top up funds

We have Premier Service but I have no idea what the criteria are. The only advantage as far as I can see is that we have what you might call a Relationship Manager on Whats App and they are actually quite good if we have any questions or if we want to make an appointment at the ASNB office etc.

Edit to add. The title of the person we deal with is 'Preferred Client Manager.'

Mind telling me how to get it or link on it ?
Currently I donโ€™t have a RM, just that the branch manager will escort me when I arrive and bring me to her office .
But itโ€™s not official Iโ€™ll need to WhatsApp her when I reach so Iโ€™m not too sure about official status and whatโ€™s the requirement

I have it too. She updates me on the dividend results over whatsapp, faster than this thread, so that's good.
*
Wow thatโ€™s nice whatโ€™s the criteria do you know ?
And whatโ€™s the official status of this membership. Have you reached or exceeded 7 figure ?

yes i have exceeded it

my wife has exceeded it too, but she did not get any RM

So I don't think exceeding 7 figures is a criteria, in fact i have no idea what is
*
Was it because you have variable funds as well?

Something unrelated
I have another round of funds coming
Whatโ€™s the best way to top up
Reload touch n go then buy asnb
Reload using myasnb app
Or go to counter directly

The free gifts at counter recently is quite dissapointing
