Exact email No as it contains the person’s full name
The email goes something like
nama tuan telah disenaraikan dalam ahli ASNB Premier

Pegawai Preferred Client Manager (PCM) akan membantu tuan dalam urusan pelaburan di ASNB.

Terima kasih atas sokongan tuan terhadap produk ASNB.

now we start to see the impact of insisting to maintain low interest

USD is 4.7 now.. goods started another round announcing price increase and I believe if this continues they have no choice but to further increase their selling price
*
Personally I prefer our interest rate hike in tandem with US
Otherwise we will suffer in terms of currency appreciation and also savings

However I think current government is extra cautious in increasing OPR as it is deemed an unpopular move

I am on your side but you had already mentioned why it is still kept low, as you know big % of Malaysians are living on debt
*
So in a way you are saying
It is unlikely to see an OPR hike anytime soon

Sad news

I don't know

You saw what Anwar replied what.. he asked you to look at RMB and YEN these 2 even worse and honestly this is not the way to address this topic like janji aku bukan paling teruk

YET still possible as you see already 4.7 and how much can BNM throw to 'stablise' MYR?

Until one point either forced to hike or let it laosai lo but probably too late to hike
*
Correct me if I’m wrong
We are assuming here that government of the day has power over BNM decision on OPR

Does the law empower government to do that ?

A little thread drift here but there is a theory that all democracies eventually fail due to finances. This is because more and more of the electorate demand more and more benefits and in order to gain power or remain in power, politicians have to promise to deliver benefits that cannot be financially supported.
*
As the saying goes
Democracy is not perfect but that’s the best we have for now till we get a better system

Politicians will have to do what is popular rather than what is right in democratic system

Out of curiosity
May I ask, previously ASM opened 5billion took so long to clear off
Now everyone complaining no units to buy

Anything changed ? Is it because the announcement of asm2 dividend was optimistic or what

People will have different reasons but I think you are certainly partially right. All indications now are that better FD rates are not going to happen and that OPR is unlikely to rise further. So, ASMx once again became a good choice.
*
Good news for those who took the opportunity to buy the 5b I guess

First thing that changed is the FD rates & promotion...
It's ain't looking good...

Second is those who took up attractive FD promo previously... the FD already mature... so looking place to park the $$$.... and it's ASMx funds the place to be at the moment

🙏
*
I see
Didn’t follow FD rates as I let all of it auto renew itself

How bad are the promo rates
How much has it dropped from the peak of maybe half a year or a year back

Gain RM3000  ok straight forward.
But lose RM3125??? in 1 month
highly questionable.
Takda logik la bro.

Why must RM1 000 000 FD money earn ZERO interest for 1 whole month?

You deposit early in the month you lose 1 month ASM dividend, that is your fault.
You thought deposit end of month will lose 1 month dividend?
no it is the opposite!
so that is not risk la.
that is poor money management .

if you have 1 Million and it earns nothing for 1 month you OHYTB

ASM units no more, takkan money must lie idle earn nothing 1 month.
wont happen to financial savvy people here
wah bro
you dont know how much you have lost in FD returns.
board rate can be 2.6% and promo 4.3%
for RM1 million you lose more than RM1400 every single month
*
Yes u r right exactly

But sadly due to my work nature it is very difficult to keep going to bank to chase promo rates
I guess in the future just combine into one big amount and only go once a year ?

Alternative is close down all of it and all in asnb

yeah.
normally I don't use apps...
because why installed the apps that I don't use frequently... wasting phone storage space only  tongue.gif
as for second post...

only ASB1 No fund size limit...... unlimited size  cool2.gif

others ASBx funds, ASMx & ASNx all got fund size limit....
*
Which means ASB will only grow bigger and bigger
How do you keep performing well if it’s so

As when the fund grows too big you have to start taking positions in grade B+ or even B counters which will affect your returns

Unless there is a decoupling of earning vs distribution where basically the payouts are nothing but just social welfares
