Bagus! Lately? No such luck for me in past few days.

from Oct 22 (maybe 23) onwards

QUOTE(TOS @ Nov 1 2020, 09:36 AM)
As for 2., is there any specific reason why PNB wants to hold units in the fund? Sounds funny they manage it and they invest in it at the same time. Is this something similar to why REIT managers hold units in their managed REITs, i.e. to align unit holders and fund manager's interest?
*
PNB is parent of ASN. maybe they acquire the dividend units from units transacted from 2nd-last day of month which don't qualify for dividends. or maybe to balance up the bumi quota. or maybe ASN needs money to buy more shares at the bottom of the market in March.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 1 2020, 11:49 AM)
Rarely I see PNB buys Additional units in their own fund..
Normally only see they released @ sell it...
Or got the units because of dividend (new units)...
*
maybe they buy to resell to hungry non-bumi buyers later. you know, instead of a few getting 30k a pop, let everyone buy 1k a pop slowly. Kemakmuran bersama mah

SOS, started my fishing here again about 2 weeks ago. One annoying problem I face is this hanging after payment.

Your transaction is accepted. Please Wait...

Anyone having a similar problem? How to solve this? Thanks.

I have to log out and log in again.
*
this behavior is expected, i.e. working as designed. So there is nothing to solve.

why they buy so many top glove????
others asnb fund do not do this
*
EPF also busy with Topglove, if I don't have a memory crosslink. Otherwise, it's some other glove counter.

QUOTE(lucifah @ Nov 6 2020, 01:19 PM)
so might this be the reason why they disabled the online transfer in the 1st place?
*
No. Remember people were complaining to ASN that others are selling ASM123 at a premium?

And don't forget, #define ASN "Amanah Saham Nasional" - bumi only. I doubt any bumi is going to pay a premium buying from others. Might as well buy ASM2/3.

Hi All, I have a question fund transfer from say asm1 to asm2. If I do it on the 1st of the month, will I still lose the dividend of the fund that I am transferring?

Rate of dividend is calculated by dividend per annum divide by 12 = monthly rate

monthly rate x (the lowest amount you kept in that month)
*
you will be entitled for divIdend in ASM2

you mean Switching?

QUOTE(CANONPIXMA @ Nov 12 2020, 08:19 PM)
I know how to calculate the dividend return.

Situation: asm1 transfer out to asm2 on the 1st of december, and assuming all fund financial year end 31st dec. Doesn't matter anyway.

Calculation 1:
total dividend: asm1 (100k x 11/12 x dividend %) + asm2 (100k x 1/12 x dividend %)

Calculation 2:
total dividend: asm1 (100k x 11/12 x dividend %) + asm2 (0k x 1/12 x dividend % due to lowest balance 0 before transfering from asm1)

Which of the above calculation is correct? hmm.gif

it's more like sell from one fund and buy another fund. I will get the dividend of that 1 month from calculation 1 if and only if I manage to get units on the 1st of the month right? say I manage to buy the unit on the 2nd then I will not be entitled for the dividend right?
*
entitle. if you sell ASM1 and manage to buy ASM2 on Dec 1, then you get dividend for ASM1 inclusive of Nov 2020. ASM2 will be from Dec 2020 onwards, inclusive of Dec 2020

To those who just did transfer to others recently, appreciate if you could share on your experience

1. Can it be done at any agent (bank / Pos Msia) or only at ASNB offices?
2. Does transfer have a dedicated form to fill in? (Previously subscription = blue form, withdrawal / redemption = red form)
3. Does receiver have to be present?
4. Just NRIC will do?
5. What is the minimum and interval amount? (RM100?)

Thanks in advance!
*
i tried 2-3 months back but bank said failed. others say can still be done, so i think the banker didnt know how to do it.

2. Light blue form that says Transfer/Switching

4. NRIC and ASN account number

Apps are always advantageous as they are the current trend. You can go ahead and inform ASN to port this 15 mins lockout feature to the app.

Look at Shoppee. Almost all their vouchers work on App but not on PC.

QUOTE(TOS @ Nov 27 2020, 12:04 PM)
You bear risk, so at some point you lose money, can be 5-10% or even worse 20-50%. But if you got the right timing and with a bit of knowledge, you can recover all capital plus earnings of 5-10%. This is investment.

When I started in SGX back in April/May lost about 5% at one point, stay put, and now sitting at 11.5%, in about 6-7 months time. But this pandemic is a one-off event. Not always happen, so I am considered lucky.

Anyway, this pricing is efficient and correct. Unlike the ASNB FP ones. Shares drop 20-30% yet units are still priced at 1 ringgit. You can imagine how much risk the managers have to bear. If they dare to sell you at 1 ringgit per unit even though the actual price is not, they must be certain enough to make up for the lost at a later time.

EDIT: For any kind of non-risk free investment, you always bear risk of losing your capital. The only capital-protected investment is your FD and saving accounts, which are insured by PIDM. But because they have low risk, they give low returns. Risk and returns always come together.
*
I lost buying blue cheats. ASN FP suitable for people with extreme low luck like me.

for the pricing, it is because these are income funds, I think purely rely on dividends and interest without bothering the share price.

Even if the put in a fraction, it won’t be that bad. ASB performance is below market expectations.

That is what you thought on EPF.

Last i looky see, EPF was busy trading one of the glove stocks. that's after they're on their way down.

some time last year, a 高人 posted that EPF has never beat ASB 1 in its entire HIStory. Get ready for < 4.25%. Consider lucky if get 4.2% or maybe additional $225 ehsan.

Has anyone reviewed EPFs financials? How much do they usually distribute as dividends?

It will be odd if EPF doesn’t beat ASB this year. EPF has much more exposure to foreign markets (that have outperformed Malaysia) than PNB funds. PNB has only just started to allocate to foreign markets. I would think that PNB is distributing a much higher % of its net realised income than EPF to be able to beat their dividend annually.
*
didn't bother to review.

EPF has already said the iSinar withdrawal is going to cost them profits. EPF also had high exposure to foreign markets last year, yet it failed to beat ASB 1. At least, we know 2 months in advance how much we won't be getting.

I’ve only seen third party speculation on a slight decrease or it being flat compared to 2019. Q4 is still pending though.

how to give 5% like this?

EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND BOARD (a substantial shareholder) acquired 9,000,000 shares on 28-Dec-2020.

Last Price Today's Change Day's Range Trading Volume
5.26 -0.86 (14.05%) 5.23 - 6.11 130,565,400

On the positive side, people who sold to EPF made much more money than 5%
