Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) requires all unit holders to update their personal details beginning Nov 11.
The unit trust management company by said that it requests all unit holders to visit any ASNB branch or its agent to update their personal details before doing any over-the-counter transactions.

"Unit holders who already have a myASNB portal account will also be prompted to update their personal details upon logging into the portal," said the Permodalan Nasional Berhad-owned company in a statement on Friday (Nov 22).

This requirement is aimed at ensuring that ASNB has a complete and up-to-date database of its unit holders, and is in line with the industry regulatory requirements to ensure that personal details are kept up-to-date to protect personal information and transaction information.

Is it possible to steal or sell ASM3 units without registered owner permission ? Are the units safe if owned by old uneducated person. A relative passed away and family cannot find any documents regarding the units. Ask here first because PNB office only open Monday

All withdrawal transactions to be done over the counter only atm with thumbprint verification. But selling units aka transfer units to a third party is available on portal and app provided you know the password to their online ASNB account. Never did try to transfer to a third party yet so not sure if need OTP or TAC through registered phone to verify.

Nothing is impossible. You will have to rely on the person who does the transaction for you to be careless enough not to do any verification.

If everyone does their job with full responsibility, it is perfectly safe. Unit owner also have to do their part.

The deceased was influenced to use identity cop/stamp instead of signature. The suspect may be able to do online transaction because he has access to her ic statements etc. Bad news possible on Monday. Quite a substantial amount involved. Kept for 10 years .

nope, not possible. u will need letter of administration / probate / will to execute any transactions on behalf of the deceased

then the person who did that must be ridiculously stupid

any transactions recorded AFTER the deceased died, will be flagged as suspicious and there will be trails. at most the person can do is to transfer the units to his / her accounts or someone elese account, then withdraw it

he / she cant withdraw directly from the deceased account online, or offline
