Besides the friend with RM500 strike a few days ago, no other strikes?

Need data to see if they have capped the sales on Myasnb platform, maybe to RM500. So no point in trying a larger amount?

QUOTE(MUM @ Jul 21 2022, 01:17 PM)
🤔🤔 Good possibility of that RM500 max cap.
Or they can probably capped it by %? Ex: only release 10% of whatever available while keeping 90% of units received yesterday?
Or keep the above quota 10:90, till the kept units (amount x) that are reserved for the bundle scheme are Y% full and release 20% if the to be kept units are Q% full, etc etc?
*
My ASNB contact says no more FPF is available via MyASNB, only via the FPF & VPF combo. But a friend here stated RM500 strike a few days ago. So ...?

Anyone here knows how good is the sale for the combo? If bad, then that will reduce the working capital for investment. Can expect lower dividend % next year if they hold a lot of unsold FPF. Hope that they have a sensible system in place, and only hold a small x% for the combo. The rest, they allow us to fish. Ha. Then that money they can put back into investment.

Hello old fren, remember those days that i would  watsapp you when i got huge units?
must be many years ago.... you  still have not bought enough kah?

now the returns are not as high as before....still worth chasing so hard meh?

Also  heard many  unhappy with the 4% threatening to sell,
perhaps just by chance you didnt get to buy.....

but for me i have not been trying to buy past many months already
unless it is going to  give 5% or  more later. a 1% cut costed me a small car a year,
give it a pass for now...go play bonds better, but of course  i dont sell also lah..
*
Of course, I still remember you. Good to have extra eyes & ears on when giant fish came to shore for us to lay our net. Ha.

The current economy can go either way (my gut feeling says another big dip). Prefer to park some money there for use later.

Whatapps me if you know some are available. Ha.

Cheerio.

Start from this year ... i found it literally zero score on getting FP ...
Previously 2021 i was able to score 2k to 3k per day... now not even 100

Judging they are offering the 50:50 FPSP (Financial Planning solution package) online... i think they really reserve all the released quota so to sell their VP fund...

Thanks for the update.

Thanks.

The combo promotion is from May to Dec 22. So your timing seems to fit into this.

Yea. My last transaction is 10 May.

Nearly impossible to get units after that.
*
I have tried for the past 5 days, easily 100 clicks per day and got zero.

I dont mind if there were many fishermen (or fisherwomen) competing, with me getting zero fish.

BUT ... if it were that they stopped having FPF on the platform WITHOUT informing the public, then I do mind, A LOT! What a waste of time, effort, sore wrist, etc etc for nothing.

I really hope someone from ASNB is reading this. Please pass it to the top management. PM me for my tel number and I will oblige.

ASNB is under the Finance ministry, right?

I remember driving to banks and post office to catch some fish. One lady at CIMB, one gent at Affin and most Post Office staff were really helpful when I showed up with the forms and passbook. I ordered some pizza for the Post Office staff as the end of the year makan. That was before internet purchase was possible. Good old days but disappointing when no strike with many drives here and there. Ha. Oh ya, fishing in the old days was risky as I had to carry cash with me.

I have not tried for quite some time now. Like to know whether online purchase of ASMx is possible now?

If possible, lots of fish there?

Wah, bagus news. Can try now.

QUOTE(Wolves @ Mar 11 2023, 12:49 PM)
Wah.. hang until here liao.

A lot of fish everyday. 12 midnight maintenance and 2am sharp log in and buy as many as you want. If still maintenance try every 5 minutes coz sometimes it does go a bit over 2am. Monday, saturday, sunday 2am don't bother. Other times plenty until you cry. If you missed, then try 3am, 4am and 5am but those depends on luck already.
*
Good news. Will try. Why 2 am? Thought units are available when people sell. People selling at that weird hours? Better buy many boxes of instant coffee the next time I go shopping.

Normal 8 am to 5 pm no fish or get get some if lucky?

Is ASM3 really that bad wrt dividend %?

Or is there something behind the scene with ASM3 which will be rolled out soon and perceived as negative?

majority of my funds are with asm3. wonder should i withdraw and divert into epf once epf allows 100k contribution?
*
My simple lazy man advice is, spread it among ASMx and EPF. Unless you are very very sure that one will be doing a lot better (say >1%) than the rest. An extra 1% for every rm 1 million will give you an extra rm 10,000 free cash!

In the past, ASMx gave higher % than EPF but now the reverse. Will EPF continue to beat ASMx? No one knows. Warren Buffet or PMX will also have to guess. Ha. But their guesses will be more intelligent.

If ASMx amount is a lot more than EPF (eg 90% vs 10%), maybe then transfer some to EPF to balance the portfolio.

Think it over and decide. biggrin.gif

looks like epf will definitely beat asm3 for some time. 3.75 is a bit too low...
*
What if there is a global crash, new reserve currency etc in the coming months/year? EPF being more overseas exposed will take a bigger beating. ASMx will suffer too but may be cushioned by our domestic market.

But that is just my layman's mindset.
