because the price is fixed. if price is not fixed, after your 6% dividend, price will also go down by 6%. so no gain no loss

i assume other fund managers are as professional as EPF and ASN. otherwise, this is another reason.

if you're bumi, just deposit and enjoy. if you're not bumi, then you enjoy after you get to deposit.

nowadays fish bite still have to literally pray ASN and FPX won't break. a lot of obstacles lah. yesterday also lost twice because FPX broke.

this is about Fixed Price, so I think people here own little to none of the VP funds.

You can look at the history of the net returns. It's definitely worth buying, BUT the question is WHEN to buy? On a good year, net annual return (dividend + price increase) is above 10% in one of the funds I saw. On a bad year, it's below that of normal fixed deposit, and could even go negative.

ASM 1 and 3 open to all new Malaysian.

ASM 2 has 51% bumi reserved quota. You can give it a try. As long as current bumi holdings above 51%, I don't see why you can't. I wanted to try out (get help from Malay colleague) but haven't, because it'll be a hassle to trouble him to sell if transfer rejected. Hassle = thumbprint and go bank. Maybe you can try and let us know.

You can start by trying 30k ASM 2. Last I heard, someone here said his colleague easily can get ASM 2 but he can't. Then his colleague couldn't get ASM 1, so I think it is related to bumi quota vs no quota.
