Tried several times just now but didn’t manage to get.
Expected more people will redeem this week to have more cash on hand for loan payment

Since 2019 I only manage to get twice.. last time is Rm1000 in early Sep

before moratorium, not many take out money to pay for loan also. if anything, perhaps ppl save more now.
*
For most people, 6 months no need pay loan, the money supposed to pay loan are spent somewhere else, eg stock, upgrade lifestyle, spent at shopee etc. Before moratorium maybe they didn’t even plan to spend on these area
I don’t think most Malaysia had self discipline in financial planning.

QUOTE(MGM @ Oct 2 2020, 09:43 AM)
But 4% is not guaranteed right? And the 1% loyalty is not based on full year. Based on track records ASMx > SSPN.
*
agreed. SSPN won’t give 4% this year.
Most of the time SSPN won’t go higher than ASM

When ASM go higher than 6% people happy, but do they know FD at that time was >4% also? Equity return at those good time could easily go 15%+?

Don’t just look at the number, should compare the return with the risk level among others investment tools in the same period

QUOTE(Haloperidol @ Oct 2 2020, 10:21 AM)
The problem is not everyone has the ability to generate 15% from equity.

Risk comparison,
ASNB FP is literally like FD, just that hard to get into the party only.
So if risk is = FD, but Reward > FD, for me it is justified.

Btw, I'm from Kedah, willing to travel to Perlis / Penang to do transaction.
Please hit me up / Pm me if anyone interested to let go of unit. Tq
*
What I mean is we cannot compare apple to apple in different season
Eg 2017 year FD rate is higher than 2020 ASM rate.. can we say FD better than ASM? Same to SSPN vs ASM
P/S: I forgot is 2017 or 2018 but I did get 4.2% FD few years ago
Is ASM 4% return considered high?
Yes and No
Yes because higher than 2% FD rate this year (both zero risk level)
No because compared to past record 4% is underperforming

it's higher if considered tax relieve.
*
I would say Yes and No , but
Sspn max tax relief cap at 8k, those single person without kids are not eligible.
Park money at other investment tool, and move 8k to SSPN in Dec will get the tax relief also

hadn't you thought that it is intentional? imagine people buy and buy and buy and sell at a premium. make it harder to buy, and eventually some will give up, or make the efforts not worthwhile.
*
I don’t know what intentional you said, from the point of view of the “fund house”, they don’t care who buy or who hold their unit..
No matter how lousy the interface is , still have many people support, the quote is limited, so even if they spent money to improve, that won’t increase their profit... for them as long as no major problem occurred then everything goes well

If that's the case, people should report this to ASN instead of here

Don't care? Why do you think they deactivated the online transfer feature? To save resources on their server?
*
Why they care about Mr A or Mr B is holding their fund?
What they concern is Mr A bought the fund and sold to Mr B, with x% “profit” or others.

Normally u all fish with small amount say between RM 100 to RM 900 or RM 1k and above ??? no matter how i fish also cannot get wan.....any tips to fishing in ASMB portal ??
*
I think should try bigger amount 1k 2k or 5k..
If have unit you success then can stop it
If rm100 each try, how many times you want to try your luck?. At the end cannot get big amount somemore wasting time, not worth, If like that then put bond fund better
The available unit usually gone fast. When you get rm100, after you pay it the other available unit gone already

if got funds will u all put in either sspn or ASM? aside from buying shares lar.....fd is out for now at 2.4% too low lar...
*
If no restriction, myself surely will park spare cash in asm.
ASM need spend time to try luck, so now I prefer sspn with ease

Even though ASB ASM returns are down, it is still difficult to find a low risk investment that offers a consistently better return imho. The smart move might be to hold our nerve and remain invested in ASB ASM.

Thoughts?
*
I think it is wise to hold tight a portion of cash in ASM if you already hold big amount in it.
Others low risk investment tool can’t beat ASM.
Some might say Bond fund but the risk is much higher compared to ASM.

Anything that starts with a 3 will have negative impact.   Investors will loose confidence and move somewhere else esp to the new star SSPN which you can still withdraw and bank in by end April to qualify for an extra 1%.   Dont think they want that!
*
Due to the difficulty to fish, how many will actually move out from asnb?
Every year saw people saying want run but never see much easy slot to enter
P/s: I am one of those one keep saying and thinking want to withdraw.. but never do because of reason above. haha

ASM 4% not good? So move money to sspn? How to ensure next year and in the future sspn > ASM? At that time can move from sspn back to ASM or not?
Or move to epf? It is one way no return till 55

looks like still many in lowyat still support asnb although many others took out asm3
*
For me, actually my fixed income investment already exceed my target %, should put more in equity, but still sometime cannot stop my itchy hand to try at asnb... I like the good feel of getting the asm unit just like winning lucky draw , due to the difficulty to get at normal time, even get rm100 I will feel happy on the achievement

Yes you can/may/could. We can do anything we want. We can sell also if dividen too low for your liking.

Btw your question like asking tomorrow 4d what number
*
Maybe my English poor cannot express what I want to ask. Last time I remember the date they released dividend will have maintainence unable to transact. so want to know is it 1/9 or 2/9 to start...

Hi guys, anyone know what is the current fee to set a nominee for ASNB account?
Found this from old thread is it still valid?
Need to pay one time fee rm 100 -180 , and then every year auto deduct 10 unit as annual fee?
If no set nominee and after I die, can my Will cover for it?

While waiting for value added responses,...
If you meant this,

PENGISYTIHARAN AMANAH / TRUST DECLARATION is an estate administration service provided by ASNB for its non-muslim Malaysian Unit Holders. It adopts the concept of trust where the unit trust investments will be managed by ASNB and will be transferred directly to the named recipients after the demise of the Unit Holder. .

Then maybe can try this for some info
Fees.

Thanks
Recently I have understood the importance of appointing nomination in assets, and need to do it for ASNB one has pay extra and annually even claim fee.. but seems like no other better stable cash parking lot .
