No, but I suspect might be a problem with FPX.

My wife and I tried to transfer 8k to SSPN over the weekend with different accounts but we both failed. A RM20 transfer succeeded, though. Not sure what's the issue.
*
different accounts but same bank or not?

managed to get 2x1k ASM1. no problem with paying.

the officer stated that our quota is different, and the deal can't make it through ?
I'm like .. what ?

Do ASM1/2/3 had their own Chinese:Bumi:Indian quota?

And for beLIEve , she withdraw 28XX.XX to make the account round number of 20k unit.
*
ASM 1 and 3 no racial quota. ASM 2 51% bumi quota.

Someone here already tested transfer ASM 2 bumi to non bumi and system rejected.

QUOTE(Haloperidol @ Dec 23 2019, 05:08 PM)
Oh yeah, any private group that people wanna buy or sell their ASM1/2/3 ?
I'm tired to click 10 times, then get booted out, then retry in 5 minutes...

at least during last time, i have the auto-decaptcha and auto-clicker standby....Now it is mentally torturing for a mere rm1k rm 500 sum ...
*
Not aware of private groups that trade. Don't think many want to let strangers know how loaded they are.

It's supposed to be mentally torturing. They allow non-bumi to buy considered give face already. If don't want mental torture, in EPF you trust.

Not possible lah. Recently pnb only said malay quota not filled by malays
*
maybe they also dont know their prospectus. end of the day, it's what programmed in the system that matters.

strange that they expect Malays/bumi to fill quota of non-bumi funds. lower dividend, who wants to fill

i assume uplift already lah, since latest revision did not say reserved quota.

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...saham-1malaysia

AS1M, which has an allocation of 50% for bumiputra investors, 30% for Chinese, 15% for Indians and the remaining 5% for other ethnic groups, has sold some 2.8 billion units. Idris said the decision to uplift the quota would be made before Dec 31.

If your news back in 2009 is accurate, how do you explain this news in 2017 that says rm2b of as1m not taken up by bumis?

https://themalaysianreserve.com/2017/03/31/...-by-bumiputera/
*
no idea. unless they are referring to initial launch's quota. after that can sell to any race unlike ASM 2

From Product Highlight Sheet :

ASM 1 Fund Allocation • Not applicable.

ASM 2 : Fund Allocation • Minimum of 51% of the approved fund size is for eligible Malaysian Bumiputera, while the remaining 49% is for eligible Malaysians.

ASM 3: Fund Allocation • N/A

So I think the 2b you mentioned is from the IPO.

If small amount like 5k, very worse scenario, I can get in 1 week.

If big amount, 元氣大傷. Worth paying anchovy to save 元氣.

For big amount, buyer would be reluctant to bank in first.

Repeat buyer is the exception, i guess.
*
actually, i don't know how the transaction is done remotely, and curious to know. For me, prefer to meet at the bank. But I'm not paying 2% since I will cash out in case of unforeseen expenses. I never bought unit trusts due to the advanced commission + variable price.

yours is small amount, but the raptor eric was big. Does buyer ask for your name/IC/phone? how does the buyer protect him/herself ?

I think it is no different than buying things online where you need to have the buyer ship the merchandise, only that in this case the shipping should be instantaneous - although manual.

RM500 I wouldn't mind, but RM25,000 though? That's some big sum regardless of the merchandise.
*
Buy online has a storefront or intermediary like shoppee and lazada. They also involve payment gateways, so it's easier to dispute.

ASN direct deal is direct bank in money to seller, as though buyer is giving money to seller.

yeah. for 25 grands, i'll probably buy offline. i remember someone in the credit card section reported some problem. Initially, smaller deals were smooth. When the deal became bigger, seller say didn't receive money or something like that.

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 26 2019, 03:23 PM)
Yes. And if anything suspicious, the authority will instruct bank to freeze your account, or lhdn to knock your door, or immigration department to suspend your passport and so on.

And I must emphasis, the only entity that can sell units to you legally is agent banks. Any other way is in grey area, and may not governed within the law.
*
Speaking of LHDN and the authorities, it's interesting to know suspicious activities always involve the good guys. Transactions for scammers who scammed tens/hundreds of thousands all went through without a glitch (Getting caught later is a different story, but the transactions were successful).

Ahaha i see my name. I sold my units to 2 diff person. 1 of them from KL, so i met up f2f, and dealt with him for around rm30k

The balance 45k, was sold to a chap from another state. Upfront transferred 25k per transaction upfront to me, twice totalling 45k. We built trust from the previous transaction, and from time to time, i do let go my units to him without any charges since can save my time going bank to sell. With the total amount of deals we have done, we frequently transfer without any hesitation anymore smile.gif
*
ahh thanks for the information bro. so it seemed that they didn't ask for your particulars?

This is completely wrong. Unless there are other rules that I do not know of that apply for those who are not normally eligible for ASB (non-Bumi, non-Muslim, non-Thai-descent, non-Portugese-descent)

But for my clients who have had ASB financing in the past, all of them have increased their capping over the years
*
wahhhh i never know that. let me remove it

No problem man. We all learn everyday. This is why I do not understand those who are eligible for ASB, but never maximized it, even though there financing facilities available, of which has  lower rates than the ASB return
*
Let me ask you this. If someone, let's say bumi Malay already has housing loan and almost max out debt-service-ratio, can they still get ASB loan? I asked a bank teller before, she told me ASB1 also not max out. odd that even bank staff dont know that.

It depends on the term maxed out. DSR between banks and between financial products differ from one another

DSR for MBB mortgage is 70%. DSR for ASBF for a certain bank is 90%
*
thanks for the info. next time i pass by the bank I try ask the teller
