No matter matte or glossy type..it also attracts dusts and finger print..but matte not so easy to see..glossy provide more vibrant image .

There are tons of threads like this one on a range of Apple enthusiast forums. Head down to your local Apple Store and see for yourself. I'm contemplating which screen to choose as well.

For designers, better go for matte. Personal reasons based on my own experience.

thanks... i read a lot of posts... from here and googled forums...

I went into a photographers forum, and they complaint bout glossy...
and from an news editor with macbook, he complaints...
some designers and developers, they complaint....

my conclusion (my opinion after my research, no offences)...
user who deals with.. text, graphic, photo...
eg, developers, designers, programmers, photographers should go for matte.

reason:
#no reflection, no glare, no distraction, no hassle... there is a solution for this, re-adjust your laptop screen!
#matte's colours might not as good as glossy, but the colours it shown is more practical and accurate...
#do not have to adjust your screen in different lightning conditions...
#eliminate the embarrassing moment because of the glare and reflection of glossy screen during the presentation to clients...

nevertheless, glossy still have its strengths...
#outdoor, glossy is better...
#colours are vivid, richer and more saturated...

and this sentence got it from Mactalk forum.. im totally agreed with it! hehe

QUOTE
..... I totally agree the glossy screen 'looks' better, but being strictly honest the matte screen 'works' better.......

cheers

seems like the glossy screen is for those who use their mac to watch movies only... no offence though.
