is this a UUM-Close competition? meaning only UUM students can join? if it is a "close" competition, then u need to do survery first, wat games do UUM students play? is quite meaningless doing a competition for a game that only 3 ppl play (yeah, those 3 can get first second and third placing, lol). get wat the crowd will play, get the rules done at least 2weeks before the competition so the players can practice. and byoc is a no no no no no no no no no. if u are looking for rules, format, u just post it here and i bet they are lots of experienced ppl in here tat will help u.
well, technically yes.. but depends on the situation.. even the lecturers can join and the changloon and jitra area.. once i handled (as a technician) a game tournament and the games were CS:Source(2004 & 2005), PES5 (2004), PES6 (2005), Warcraft III (DOTA) and Tumblebugs (a girl's game).. seems there are a lot of participants, around hundreds.. and believe me, they are a hell of gamers.. since there were 2 game competition ever held here, nobody ever checked or surveyed what games they like to play.. we wanted to change the tradition by bringing in FIFA2007 as the it is the official game for WCG.. But ppl in UUM said the game is too easy to play than PES.. anyway, i'm still thinking about wanna go for one game only for the tourney or maybe a couple of games as we got time..
