Last time I stopped weight exercise for roughly 6 month after surgery. Think is better stopped and wait it recover. Oh ya... I did hernia surgery using open surgery method.

Lost contact ady. Haha. Last time he said should recover between 3-6 month. I also open surgery.
Right now doing mostly workout with isolate exercise, which doesn't required me to used so much weight. Eg: arm workout, shoulder workout.

Except for row. That one also scary if lift too heavy. sweat.gif

Hello Brother!

I think you should start working out with light weight or free weights. Do not go heavy as it can happen again.

Actually, you should start working out as soon after surgery, but start from sub-maxima weight, if no symptom and you comfort with it then progressively increase the weight to one repetition maximum (1RM), but mind your posture for every weight training. Engaging a physiotherapist or sport coach will be a good idea.
