bbc lifestyle, natgeo people, travel channel are the better ones.

but, u dun get 4k with yr white or silver box even when the channel is.

try channel 502.

The same issue for astro many say 4K box PQ not as good as earlier PVR,maybe it could be just a matter of getting used to it. BTW does the new box cause any issues to yr HTS? The aerlier white box is a nuisance it cannot work well with HTS

oops I meant Home theater system,when unifi is connected there were always issues with switching on TV,the amplfier will not turn on,when we on the TV while other connections will turn on the whole system when tv is turned on.When unifi is unplugged the whole system will work perfect

this is very interesting... coming from one of the first users.

a sign of what i was afraid of... in the new deal, there is this new box plus but works with the PLAYTV APP only.

old STB, silver or white, they work on UNIFITV, a built in app, dedicated and higher bit rate, better quality.

we wait for more news from other first users.

Looks likewith newstb, sound quality 'degrading'.
Ive used the 1st silver stb (the 1 withflip down button cover). Conected to sound system (analog), sound much better than the white box.

Like that, this new black box is of no use to me.

my new STB stated that i'm not subscriber  and the TM technicain said i need to wait for migration sms/email

Im an existing 300 mbps + with the old unifi box subscriber. Do i need i get the new unifi box with no monthly additional charge?

Form yr comments, the new black box works on an ATV app, unlike the silver one and white boxes with built in app.

But once the white box migrate to new app, it is not as good.

Silver box is non-android, cannot migrate, kinda stuck.

In terms of picture quality... from your and other comments..

1. Best is old silver box or white box non migrated... highest bit rate... only with stb, no apk for this.

2. Next is white box migrated and new black box, ethernet or wifi... running on ATV os v 1.1.4, lower bit rate but not too bad.

2a. There is v1.1.4 Modified... for use on other ATV devices... shieldtv, mibox, smart atv's... quality same as 2.

3. Then there is new playtv app for other regular android devices v1.2.10... quality about same as 2.

4. Old playtv v7.9.11.... worst quality, lowest bit rate.

U decide what u need n want or dun care....

Unifi.tv.hypp.@#$%... very busy... so many boxes, so many apps, so many apk... everyone busy... but no clarity, no transparency.

how do you select 8k youtube in ATV? the youtube app max at 4k only. on PC we can  select 8k.
