I'm using Streamyx 8M, but since March my line was terrible, it's extremely laggy and ping spike in games like Apex Legends and COD Warzone.
I found that all the games server mainly from SG but the amount of ping spike is insane, it happen randomly every 5-10min.
I tot it only happen on slow Streamyx user, doesn't know that even Fiber user experience the same thing.

Right now, it greatly affected my work, I always use Slack Call, but ppl hear me like 5-8 sec delay. Sometimes my sound will break but i still can hear them clearly.
I really pulling my hair off. Tried Google Hangout or Google Meet, the call seems better, but sometimes still get voice delay and my voice will start breaking after awhile
I believe TM throttling my upload speed. But for speedtest, everything seems fine. bangwall.gif
Called technician couple of times, they went to changing the port few times, reconnect from the pole, still the same shit.
I asked them to call KL HQ see if they can do anything, the only answer I get is because traffic congested. Ntg they can do and close my report.
The technician trying their best to help me, but they really can't do anything.
My PC connect via Ethernet, modem is new TP-Link VR400 v2, the phone line is fine and Good SNR margin and no error pkts.

Saw the DP box on the pole since last week, they promised early June the service will available.
Went to TM point immediately after Technician told me snap the DP box number and faster go and signup for waiting list.
I hope it can minimize the issue after this.

The problem is i seldom experience this before MCO. After MCO shit just got real. Crazy ping spike, Apex legends easy DC, COD random spike.
Voice call voice delay.

I open Task Manager> Performance > Ethernet , I notice that when ping spike happened, the "Send" will went crazy high. That's the time i experience spike and lag.

Right now i purposely signup mobile plan just for Voice call. I didn't try gaming, since it's limited quota I don't think is good to use for gaming also.

Thx for ur info, It even happen during mid night when everyone sleep only my device is connected.
I will try to use wireshark and see what's going on. But wireshark a bit too advance for me.
Do you have any suggestion for simple applications to check my network?

I can't end it, it just suddenly show up on the Network after like 20-30sec will gone.
Thats the time i experience bad spike.
I still checking to see how to uninstall it.

It's not in the Task Manager Details, It's not there, I can't find it, but when it show up on my Network Activity, I will experience spike.
It is inside C:\Program Files\WindowsApps hidden folder. I'm tempting to delete this exe. I don't use outlook on my PC, so i am thinking to delete it.

Edit:
Yes I use the Windows 10 "Mail" Application, i just removed it. It's slow and buggy.
I will monitor again.
But not sure if later will still show up the on the network or not.

I don't see any spike anymore after i uninstall that Mail App. Looks like it really solve the problem.
Just now i try to game like 3 hrs long, didn't experience any spike.
I can't thank you enough for helping me solve this issue!

Atleast they should use the shortest time to provide unifi lite 1st,better then keeping user only on streamyx.
5mbps upload speed will be able to solve 95% of latency and dc issue.

But of course 5mbps for 2020 still is a fail but it is better then nothing.

They didn't invest more on improving routing...I can understand now their priority is expand more area,but they didn't maintain their current international network...
This kind of action is take temporary solution not effect a permanent cure.

Why dont they setup a new plan like one of SG ISP did,do a Gamers plan with latency optimization(routing optimization) with lowest packet loss if problem occurs.(QoS for Gaming or Latency-sensitive application like remote works)
I am not a gamers,but i like this kind of plan as i rather want stable low latency connection,speed could slow abit like ensure 60% of speed while peak hours.

From now on, i think i will just switch it to Thunderbird as my main email client.
that Windows10 Mail app is pretty slow tbh and always getting delay receive msg.
If i didn't check the Network Activity, I will never know that stupid App randomly sending huge packet thru the line.

The Upload speed for Streamyx is indeed pathetic, it took me 3hrs to upload 600mb video to Youtube!
I've been asking TM to deploy HSBB for more than 10 yrs. Finally saw some light after Gobin Singh take over. Lowering down the Price for Streamyx upgrade all the existing BB user to faster speed.
I will definitely thank him in personal if I ever got chance to meet him.
Last year August, I email him and his office, KKMM did replied said they will look into it. Because countless report have been logged on MCMC but no action.
2 weeks later I received a call from TM, lucky enought my area is under NFCP, they promised they will deploy fiber EST end of March 2020 but due to MCO everything stopped.
The timing is just right when he announced NFCP, everything seems goes as a planned, guess i'm just lucky.
Hopefully no more deplay since they already resume work. Right now under new Gov For those area that promised will deploy fiber but haven't start any development, i wish them best of luck, you know what i mean.

Well, they never see this day will come, when everyone stay home under lockdown. If February you tell me Malaysia will lock down on March, I will call you fucking crazy.
They don't really care as long as all the customers keep feeding them money. This is how they work, their culture.
You as a customer got no choice, for TM: "Stay with me or GTFO I don't give a fuck."

Yesterday TM staff came to my house to sign up my new Unifi Plan.
I asked about this promo also. He said need to pay more actually got T&C, he didnt go into details.
But for new Unifi plan, they offer 1 month free usage, even if u r existing Streamyx user upgrade to Unifi, thats the only offer for now.

No need thumb print whatsoever (he said only Agent need thumb print). He only get my signature and snap a photo of my IC. and run.

There is a code and number at the DP box. snap a picture and go to TM point immediately.
They will put u on the list if still no one apply or upgrade to fiber.

aiks sweat.gif ... why u went to agent instead of TM Point. By right TM Point should handle everything for u.
Right now if u get it via agent, maybe you will not get free 1 month bill.
Some forumer brought out if apply via agent, because TM need to pay commission to agent, you wont get free one month bill.
Not sure what can you do now, sit down or wait or if u need fiber desperately, i still recommend you go to TM point explain ur situation to them, maybe they can help you.

I think you are referring Fiber Terminal box.
Im also preparing to install fiber, if everything went smoothly, this month should get fiber.
From my research this is how it connect.
FDP (pole)> FTB (ur house outdoor)> FWS (indoor near ur BTU)> BTU > Router
Based on forumer, right now TM no longer provide FTB and FWS.
Forumer suggest to get FWS only. I also wanted to find out whether to get FTB or not. if yes which one to get? found some on shopee some comes with 6ports.

To avoid deliver incorrect messages to the technician, do you have an example of this part? I think a picture will help.
A bit noob not sure how should I explain this to the technician.
If they don't understand, I will just show them a picture and ask them to follow that.
