At what time are they throttling Bittorrent? Actually I don't think it's even throttling at this point, this is straight up blocking  ranting.gif

yup i think i am looking for Ethernet cable! tried reading the label on the cable, but not sure which Cat is that? any difference between 1 cat to another cat?

Usually all provided Ethernet cables are at least CAT 5e, which can support 1Gbps tops.

There are also CAT6 (1-10Gbps) and CAT7(10Gbps), which supports even faster speeds.

Anybody experiencing extremely low download speeds even during local speedtests?

user posted image

Ping and upload speeds are normal but the download speed is atrocious. Nothing else is using the internet at this time.

On 100/50 package with 175.xxx.xxx.xxx IP, TTDI area.

Just a quick follow up on this issue for the benefit of others.

So after making a report to UNIFI, a bunch of in-house TM techs (not outsourced contractors) came over to have a look at the ONU and discovered that the problem was due to a loose connection of the fiber wire into the ONU itself. Reseating the cable fixed it completely.

On a related note, it also fixed the jerky HyppTV picture I've experienced for many weeks now.

Apparently the cable, if nudged/jostled around (e.g. by sweeping or vacuuming around the area), can get loose over a period of time, leading to high spikes in some measurement which can lead to signal degradation which lead to the poor download speed and HyppTV transmission issues.

I was advised to be more careful when dusting/cleaning around the area.

Thanks for reading.
