QUOTE(aquilaTE @ Feb 7 2020, 11:26 AM) Definitely when comparing to the Note 9 since it's a FHD screen as opposed to QHD. But few reviews I came across says SOT is around 5hrs plus only instead of more... Well, I've always set my Samsung display setting to FHD so I think it'll be better. If it's 5 hours plus over two days then OK la, but if 5 hours in a day then most mid-range phones also can do that these days QUOTE(PeeEl @ Feb 7 2020, 11:26 AM) Actually the specs are not too bad except for a lower res screen and an older processor. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack! I personally won't miss wireless charging, IP rating and DEX capability, but that's just me. |

QUOTE(Mike3 @ Feb 7 2020, 02:21 PM) Hmm maybe the newer proc got reception issue. Or just the antenna design. Ya, that's the only reason I bought the S10 Lite over the Note 10 Lite bro. Just to try the SD version of a flagship Samsung, although this would be a 'lite' flagship..Haha stick back to SD end of story. |

QUOTE(PJng @ Feb 7 2020, 09:16 PM) First cycle, 73% left, SOT 2 HRS 10 MIN Can’t really compare a tablet and a phone bro. My iPad can go for a week without charging.Just do basic set up Edit, but i don think battery life will better that my samsung tablet QUOTE(blockhead89 @ Feb 7 2020, 09:36 PM) Hi All, just joining the note family last month. And I found the network is seem keep unstable and unavailable. Try to replace new sim card and reset network setting and the issue never end. Any solution and advice on this? Yeah, the Exynos version of the Note 10 has relatively weaker signal strength compared to other phones. One method would be to force it to 3G as suggested above, but other than that, there really isn’t a solution for it, most people here have learnt to live with it. Others like myself have taken the more drastic route and sold off the phone Just try Google and seem it is a common issue for note 10 plus model. QUOTE(aquilaTE @ Feb 7 2020, 11:18 PM) I've a feeling the battery isn't fantastic atm... but let me see how it fares from full charge on my outing tmr. Give it some time, it’ll get better after a week or so of usage. |

QUOTE(viqq @ Feb 8 2020, 11:45 AM) Guys are you guys on QHD+ ? The text is so much sharper leh.. battery life don't know have impact or not .. no time to test I can't tell the difference between QHD+ and FHD on all my previous Samsung devices which is why I settle for FHD. I read somewhere the battery consumption difference is minimal.QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Feb 8 2020, 11:50 AM) Yea I gaming everyday and iPad and iPhone standby is impressive. Yup, I'm happy with 5% or less battery drain with Samsung phones. I used to think it was an Android problem, but I've since owned an Asus, a Huawei, an OP7 Pro, a Realme and even a Xiaomi. They don't drain that badly overnight compared to the Samsung Samsung phone put overnight 10% battery missing at minimum QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Feb 8 2020, 01:17 PM) It happen to 2 of my phones Had that same problem where the port couldn't charge for my brother's Note 5 too back in the day, thankfully it could still charge wirelessly.1 still warranty another no warranty. So careful this also apply to your USB with water. Now only can normal charge and wireless charging. QUOTE(aquilaTE @ Feb 8 2020, 07:20 PM) Yup, do share the results |

QUOTE(XXXOOOXXXOOO @ Feb 9 2020, 02:50 AM) cause samsung have a lot activity running in background, i connect my note to office wifi and i can see a lot funny/weird activity thru office firewall .... make me wonder, who actually stealing our info. Actually even when I switch off mobile data and WiFi, the drain is still similar, hahaha... QUOTE(Khuan0813 @ Feb 9 2020, 07:25 AM) My Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 only drains at 2-3% overnight so far with all settings left on. |

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Feb 10 2020, 09:28 AM) QUOTE(PJng @ Feb 10 2020, 10:13 AM) Just same, wifi off, data off, overnight 5% drop, 12am to 7.30am My S10 Lite running One UI 2.0 on Android 10 drained 2% from 10.30pm to 5.30am but it's too early to make any conclusions since it was just my first night with the phone. Let's give it a couple of weeks I will test some day later on data wifi for overnight Oh, by the way, I left Data and WiFi on, but I have Do Not Disturb mode automatically set from 11pm to 7am. |

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Feb 10 2020, 12:34 PM) maybe because of the poor signal received that's y draining more battery. perhaps that's y flight mode helps. Yes, poor signal will cause higher battery drain. QUOTE(ijuanp03 @ Feb 10 2020, 12:56 PM) That's the problem about Huawei phones. Since the imposed trade restrictions on them, I have not bought and tried any Huawei phones. A shame though, they do make good phones and can go toe to toe with Samsung which makes it better for us consumers. There was a time that they are too aggressive in closing apps that you can only receive WhatsApp messages if you open the app itself. Until now they are doing it. Huawei fans boast great battery life but they miss out on important things which what makes a smartphone "smart". |

QUOTE(Mike3 @ Feb 10 2020, 01:57 PM) one thing i have to say, they make phone that lasts. I think they only gotten aggressive on power management lately. I remember my old Mate 8 and MediaPad M3 not being that bad - but that of course was a long time ago, hahaha. i using mate9 till today functional. havent change battery before . 3year++ now. suprising! plan to change battery soon and use as secondary phone. everything comes with a price huh. great battery life=aggressive battery management QUOTE(PeeEl @ Feb 10 2020, 04:50 PM) My point is simply they are all smart phones. How they are configured is another thing. Each manufacturer does their own thing. As consumers, you just select the brand and model that suits your needs/usage. Well said. And to add to that, also select the one that fits your budget Alamak, really off topic... Ok ok, back to Note 10 discussions |
