Bought a Nvidia 6200 from a fellow forummer named Paradox. I bought the GC from this thread which he was advertising for WTS;

- paid for it on the 30th June via maybank online
- he sms'ed me and mentioned he will send it asap
- then couple of days later sms'ed me that he got exam and will send it before 5th June
- then couple days later sms'ed me and say he sent it already and i will receive it yesterday.
- last sms from him was on 7th July 9:36pm, after that he didnt reply my sms or pm's
- I've asked for the consignment number or shipping reference number, but nothing given and no response from him.
- till this morning (11 July) no package arrived.
- sent him couple of sms and pm's till today no response even though i can see he is online.

I will pm him this thread and will provide his name, maybank account and mobile number if he doesnt respond by tonight. Yes i know he is new..and yes why did i buy from someone who is new...sigh...

Below are the details of this con-man, beware when dealing with him.

Thanks for your suggestion expanty, yeah i guess there are lotsa ppl in lyn just out to make the quick buck, its a pitty really, short term gain for long term pain coz once ppl have you mobile, name and ic they can gather alot of information about you via social engineering. But before resorting to these kinda tactics should go above board first.

I've just managed to get hold of him via his mobile, and he mentioned that he was outstation in singapore and had only just arrived back. He mentioned that he had asked his friend to post it. He will check with his friend and update me on what happened.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Lets see whats the outcome these next few days. I will take down his details once the GC is confirmed sent and I receive it in working condition.

All this waste of time just for a measly rm100 graphics card

I dun think he is a conman, becoz after u bank in $
he already reply u 4 sms, so maybe he face some problem .

If i m a conman, after receiving ur $, i will totally dissapear, and wont reply any sms (waste my phone credit)
and creat a new account continue conning other people ...

yeah he is probably not a true blue con man as i just received a PM from him saying that he just sent my GC. Well I'm not going to try to understand why he didnt bother replying my pm's or sms and why he sms me last week that the gc already sent but only today PM me again that its just sent. Well I guess, he forgot...

Well, I will wait a couple of days to see if i get the graphics card or not. Till then I will remove the forummers name and details..give him the benefit of the doubt.

I just received the card today. Will test it out tonight and if all is working fine I will close this thread.

Have tested the card, initially was not working okay, but after i cleaned it up along with the TIM its working fine now. Case Closed. Thanks
