Which of the following would be the best option for me if I want to get one next week?
Acer VG240YP -RM685-699 LG 24GL600F -RM699 or anything that suits the budget
Prefer 24" since my table would be too small for 27", IPS if possible and 1080p. Don't want VA for now. Only going to use for gaming (R6S, BFV, MW mainly) and youtube.
Also, did anyone know when AOC 24G2 will be available here? It has been sold in some countries already. Thanks!
EDIT: I got the XF240QP considering the quality for the price. Definitely going to miss out the better colours and viewing angles but maybe not an issue for now.

None - wait until the new AU Optronics 24.5 panel instead Also, with IPS you may end up playing the panel lottery This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Nov 6 2019, 04:48 PM

Getting Started

|
I always had something like PVA or MVA. I never had TN cause I assume they are bad anyway and I always never had a chance to see how IPS is working in games, I am not gaming a lot now and do not know what it happens out there. I do see it's there happening.

TN is actually not too bad, considering the colours are calibrated, but viewing angles can be really bad, especially if you are on a laptop or multi-monitor configurations. To be clear I already got the XF240QP which is really good for the price, viewing angles are not really an issue in my case but banding in dark scenes is the real issue. I assume it will be the same case with the 24G2/VG240YP since those are also 6-bit+FRC panels despite being IPS. But overall, it is a good experience that my laptop screen now feels like a slideshow.
