Update : I hv tried using most of the Product Codes on page 1 to chk for latest Firmware on Nokia Europe's website ie here ==> Nokia Europe site....ALL seem to give the same result ie this msg :
Is something brewing in Nokia? Is Nokia stopping its OnLine S/Ware update checking facility?

Me? Oledi using latest V4. Was checking 4a fren's ME.

yes you can. there are tutorials out there which enable you to do so. Google around.


you should have used the APAC1 product code.


the fonts are different as they do not have to accomodate chinese characters..

Yup. both normal & ME got same msg. Tried a few other codes given on Pg 1 of this thread also result in same msg.

Viper, for my case, what should i do? Wait for next firmware and change to APAC1 before update?

I tot APAC1 for n73ME? As shown in 1st page..

P/S: My case is i used Euro1 firmware where i suppose to use APAC1 because i need chinese.

may i know wat software can change the code?cos got 1 AP n73..plan to update it..pls help

u can try any of d normal N73 code in d 1st post to update it.
n for nemesis, try 2 google it. its easily 2 b found.

So fast there still dont hav V4 firmware update for ME user yet..

Good news! Nokia Europe S/ware update availability check now works!! Just tried it.

But still no new FW for N73ME...also same V4 for std N73.

A noob question here...
how to check the n73 is normal one or ME ?
scare give people cheat...thk for teaching and giving help..

N73 ME is black in colour (obviously... ), comes with 2GB Mini SD and Nokia AD-41 headset (The one with 3.5mm jack converter.). Compared to the N73 with V3 firmware, N73 ME has a better music player.

Compared to the normal N73 with latest V4 firmware, N73 ME currently doesn't support A2DP. The lastest V4 firmware of normal N73 has the music player like the one in ME too.

That's all i can think of.
