just got reply from the building management, the centralized antenna is not digital, so far only 2 unit requested that, so they wont go digital yet

hence im.waiting my antenna from shopeee 🙏

do i need to purchase decoder as well?
*
So nope, the decoder is inside your TV, and connecting it to Internet can provide ePG function, as my TV don't have internet capability, so I can't check it is still available or not.
But it is mostly useless for me la, just for watching news + mostly HDMI. tongue.gif

Hope you get your items within 7 days la, there had been slow down on seller sending the package or lack of people picking up packages, so they bulk pick up the packages once there is enough orders, take like 7-14 days now, except the seller go to pos office and send the package instead of waiting for pickup.

Did anyone facing issues on Melaka and N.Sembilan for signal from Bukit Tampin?

My parents at Tampin facing issues for TV3, TV7 and TV8, laggy and blue screen(no signal la), for normal channel signal quality is 100% because, well, 4 KM to the mountain la. ;P

Other ok, so I guess is MUX 2 ok, but MUX 1 not okay.

Anyone got such issues?

Suspect Antenna issues, because when raining, MUX 1 gone, but ok for MUX 2, which is strange... hmm.gif

Logic tell me not Antenna issues, because MUX 2 ok but not MUX 1, but no one reporting about signal issues in this thread... sweat.gif
---
For now it is down la, only MUX 2 can be watch normally.

MYTV FB don't mention about maintain, so... doh.gif
----
tun_nakiwa was the only one reporting about this issues, but he is gunung ledang, so..

MYTV issues? unsure.gif
---
So far ok after re-plug the cable, but my parent don't listen to me and let me check the signal information when it is laggy, for 50 times, so...

Wait for next raining and see how la. mega_shok.gif

And yes, is it possible that MUX 2 ok but MUX 1 down, because of antenna issues?
But signal quality 100(Good), Strength 96(Strong), and manual scan on MUX 1 don't get any signal at all hmm.gif

Signal Quality 100%, but how about Signal Strength?

If you see that some channels can receive well, some don't, then that's likely the issue only happens to you.
There are several factors that causes that.

Could you take a photo of your TV antenna? And how long have you been using that antenna? How's the antenna and cable condition?
Are you using RG-6 coaxial cable to connect to the antenna, or the 3C-2V or 5C-2V cable?
Are you using IDTV or digital TV box to receive the channels? What model is it?
*
Just saying, not me at my hometown, so I can't do any physical. sweat.gif

Anyways.
Strength 96 for normal channel at MUX 2, no info at MUX 1 as my parents keep sending me video when it is laggy with green screen, while I told them 30 times send me the photo with Signal information on TV channel with trouble, then they send me TV 2 with signal information, and they decided to auto tune until no signal via manual scan.... sweat.gif

Then no choice, told them try re-plug while manual scanning, then ok already...
---
So known info is.
1.MUX 2 is Signal Quality 100, Signal Strength 96.
2.MUX 1 unknown as my parents refused to do as I told them..
3.As I can recall, 15 years of antenna, and yes RG-6 with Booster used for 10 years, turned off as no need, the plastic on the cable header are dropping la, degrade over time..
4.Cable at Booster I already fixed 2 years ago, the ground part is not connected, so I unscrew then screw it back into touching the metal, then getting 100 signal quality.
5.Sharp TV, with 5V Antenna Power turned off
6.After fighting with my parents 30 times of signal strength, and 1 hour, I just told them to re-plug the cable, then fixed. doh.gif

So, why MUX 2 is fine, while MUX 1 is down without signal after heavy raining?
(unsure signal quality for MUX 1 la, but unable to manual scan and found on MUX 1 frequency)

And, did it is antenna issues, not completely MYTV fault?
It start from a heavy raining, and MUX 2 getting Signal Quality 100, Signal Strength 96, while MUX 1 no info, which is also strange as MYTV normally crap on MUX 2, but it is when they just switched on MUX 2 la.
1 year ago I also got testing during heavy raining la, no issues until now.

---
Conclusion, should I tell my parents to buy a indoor antenna?
If yes, any recommendation?

As MYTV just 4 KM away only on the Map, unsure the height la, if including the height of mountain, maybe 6-8 KM of distance la.

Better be cheap or my parent don't wanna one...

---
You know old people la, I tell them lot of thing, like RM 200 to purchase a new router, don't want, want TM replace it if break down.
(while it is lot of trouble on WiFi stability now)
Then I also got told them to buy a new indoor antenna, don't want, say outdoor antenna can use, so use lo, I told them thunder ⚡ might hit the outdoor antenna and bring the new TV down also don't want to buy..

I guess in this case, they might just say, just re-plug can fix ma...unstable unstable la.. sweat.gif

Never mind lah bro. I understand your situation, the same thing I was argueing left and right. One solution for you, after this lockdown go buy a new antenna and fix things nicely at your parents home. My problem also solve after changing the ancient outdoor antenna and new cable. Previous antenna more than 10 years, cable expose to sun and rain so some channel the signal is good while some is not.

So, internal antenna enough for 4 KM distance, even when heavy raining?
If yes, then I tell my sister live at there go purchase using Shopee MR DIY voucher la, as long got discount, sure they happy one. tongue.gif

Have not use internal antenna so can't comment much. But last I heard, as long as you are less than 20KM from transmitter, internal antenna is sufficient.

Ok, then gonna see got cheap one or not la, as all of internal antenna at my parents' house break down, tried to repair lot of times but nope, too thin the copper cable, also like 18 years already, that bunny antenna. laugh.gif

Ok, thanks for the helps.

Still wonder if antenna issues, why MUX 1 unable to receive while MUX 2 is fine like nothing happen, should not both down/corrupted image/no signal?, real world indeed is a strange world, right? tongue.gif

As I got a laptop with unstable 0.5 meter 1 Gbps, but stable 15m 100 Mbps, and lot of strange issues on WiFi, I guess I should just accept it la. laugh.gif
