Getting Started

|
Hello everyone, i am 28 years old this year, and i had suffered from severe acnes since i was 16 years old. It has been quite a long journey. Acnes not getting so severe in the past 2 years. I only had 1-2 huge acnes once a month though. Recently, i went to one doc medical and signed on their 4 steps and pico laser treatment. I have done a few of their 4 steps treatments so far. The first week, i can feel my face is getting brighter and more elastic. After that, i have more and more big acnes on my face. I started to worry, i am not sure if its my hormones problem or its because of the treatment. Anyone here with serious acnes, can please share with me their experience. This is not easy to go through, as it will affect our self-confidence and the way we live.. so i hope everyone can help each other

Acne is caused by bacteria. Hormone, diet, lifestyle, habit are secondary factors that causes acne.
Re-look into your lifestyle or habits. First thing to tackle is hygiene. Wash your towels every few days, change your bedsheet, pillow case etc every week. Think back carefully, what often come into contact with your face e.g. fingers, phones, pens, any objects etc? Refrain from doing those.
Then look into your skincare routine. Understand what you're putting on your skin & what are their function. Everyone's skin is different & it changes from time to time, that's why there's a million different skincare brands out there for different needs. For acne, focus on antibacterial stuffs, something to control the sebum level & something that promote cell regeneration to heal existing acne.

You have an acne problem and the doctor straight suggesting for laser treatment without settling the underlying problem? Nice.
