I just signed up today for izzi...at lowyat, the signal strength showed by the sales girl was not that great..but during the speed test dload speeds was about 500kb/sec and uploads were about 300kb/sec
somehow...at my place...

i brought it back home, tried it...and used the speed test...

WEIRD...my dload speed only topped at about 250kb/sec and upload speed 300kb/sec....but my signal strength is like 100%...all the time!
anybody....got any experience?..why is it like thiss????

it has been all this while like this? me sometimes experience stagnant speed below 200kbps but then i tried disconnect and reconnect several times and its back to normal again. not sure if its due to different IP assigned. since every area has limited users per tower, would it be the towers has reached its maximum users? Can they actually build two or more towers in the same area?

Kajika...u r not alone...my izzi now have same syndrome with yours. I think, there are more than 50 user at Kelana Jaya now. At peak download hour (night of course, my speed can decrease to 600 kbps).

maybe you could pm me the link to download that installer game. i can try check my area speed. So far i've been using izzinet for almost a month already and its been serving me well. not so sure for the following month but will update as follows.

speed at my area decrease to 500-600 kbps even during day time since last night until now. already lodge the report to them. hope they can solve this as soon as pos

p/s: only a few days for me to enjoy the 1000kbps ...

You didn't test before you subscribe? If you are not satisfied with the speed, you should not subscribe it... The speed is not consistent at my place ... Sometimes it was fine but sometimes it can be quite slow.. But since it is wireless, i also don't have much to complain...

I just launched a report when the speed is dropped, the support team have called me to tell me that they will do something within 48 hours. I will update you guys when I got their feedback...

I think my area in Kelana Jaya are getting a lot of subscriber. In fact they are having a roadshow in KJ Giant Hypermarket.

Anyway, Kajika81, I think you are getting a decent speed compare to mine. Mine is totally pathetic. Every night after 10pm without fail I get disconnected, can't log on and if very lucky manage to log on then the speed is never above 100Kbps. At least u are getting >100Kbps.

My problem is I am only free after 10pm. Hence I could log on and do my mail checking, ftp and etc etc.....ym and etc. So during this 1-3hrs of my precious online time I expect consistency and decent speed before I go to sleep. Imagine my disappointment and surprise when I find the speed is so much slower than dial up. I feel malu not sure of IZZInet. Not sure whether they are trying to avoid this problem or trying to cheat as many people as possible or not. No matter what kind of business strategy they are trying on us......at least have some decency and ethic to give support and solution.

I am thinking to myself......perhaps I should have subscribe to celcom broadband instead.

Btw, I have a friend using 2 mths on Packet-1 (http://www.packet-1.com/) ...... Green Packet Company and he's getting more than 1Mb for his wireless broadband. Only problem is its only available in Setia Alam now.

My dear, your lagging problems is not because latency alone...its because your PC hardware can not handle all those high detail 3D graphics setting too. Thats why, by turning down those setting you will feel smoother than before. But for people who use "more than capable" 3D card, let say Geforce 8800 GTS for example, ultra high setting in any MMORPG game will never taxed our computer out.

Like you said before, your char will move but hardly attack..thats latency lag problems.

Anyway, thanks for sharing with us.

yeah...last night....the time out drive me crazy. PW can't enter at all. Fly for fun stuck at char selection. The only game i can play 2moons only...grrr...

Download speed = half of the promise speed. Sunday morning = nightmare to us now.

The reseller told me that by default the setting in MTU is as 1400, which he advice that not to configure anything as it might create problem later. He even told me that the bandwith will be increase again due thsi week as lots new users been joining Izzi.

So i just have  to wait lo and see how ot works after this week. As mentioned , my download is around 10 - 30 kBps (kbyte)..
