so any comparison btwn 705 and 1800?

Just got off the phone with Tong Lee Lowyat. RM5000 for the Denon 2808 and RM6100 for the 3808. If bargain also I think at most RM200-300 less only

3k + , abt 400 cheaper than the yammy 1800

No lah - I have an old Yamaha. Can't remember the model number 380 or something. No HDMI inputs at all.

But not concerned lah - cos my setup at the moment only has 5.1 which is fine by me.

No place to put 7.1 anyways.

All those amps you guys talking about out of my price range lah. I think I paid 1800 or something only. For me - more than 2k is not in my budget as I'm pretty happy with what I have and am not an audio purist.

I am more inclined to movie performance and sound field/immersion. Which is why I chose the Yamaha.

Anyways, if 5k amp - better make sure using 20k speakers lah!! Not for me lah.

Creative PS2000 speaker... I got it RM10 from the factory I work before... that time Cubic Integrated Manufacturing got wharehouse clearance where all the staff can purchase with 1 cupon at RM10 but in the end staff can but more then 2 unit... but I manage to get 1 only because I'm not a permenant staff...huhuhu
