QUOTE(screwedpeep @ Jul 11 2021, 11:45 AM) My initial intention of using wahed invest was to have a portion in US stock market. So of course now that i have the opportunity to have all-US portfolio, i just do the switch. Don’t need local or sukuk exposure in my portfolio as i already have that in my other investment vehicle. For some, switching may mean locking in all the losses on the MMID and Bond portions. MMID was fine until the past 1.5-1 months. Bond was negative since I started Wahed, anyways. HLAL was the one carrying the gains since the last optimization.

QUOTE(AnasM @ Jul 11 2021, 07:06 PM) why the online transfer to wahed maybank account is showing pacific trustee name? That's the structure of etf/ unit trust investment in Malaysia. The money you pay to Wahed for investment will not go to Wahed directly, but held by a trustee (i.e Pacific Trustee) to separate them from the assets of Wahed, in case Wahed fails as a company.

The disinterest in Wahed (HLAL) whether it is performing or not (and it is performing nicely at the moment)
And next door (SAMY) is getting all the attention with heated-exchanges over some Chinese-focused ETF that is performing badly and dragging everything down.
