I believe the qty of units and cost basis price remain constant unless we make additional deposit, but then how come regardless of whatever the market price (on daily basis) the cash allocation remain constant at 2.50% with no gain or loss???? To me, cash amount simply constitutes 2.50% of the total investment value net off total unrealised gain/loss of other asset class... damn I’m confused šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Can anyone shed some light please šŸ™šŸ™

said ady, cash 2.5% is keep in MYR, 1 myr is always 1 myr, how u want to gain or loss?

He's finding the correlation among the assets.
I'm finding the correlation the ETF and US market.
Maybe it's not important for some people but I felt it is important to understand what are you investing into.

When 3 markets plus Russell 2000 down > 3% at the same time overnight but MyETF-US50 has little impact, does that even make sense at all?

Dow Jone Industrial Average - 30 big/mega cap on several sector *can be ignored*
S&P 500 - 500 companies from several sectors *a good indication of broader market*
NASDAQ - tech sector heavy index, no pure financial *could be good selection to form Shariah complaint fund*
Russell 2000 - mid to small cap companies

if u looking for any sense in the market...no there is not necessary to have any sense.
What i can tell u is that METFUS50 has its own index methodology to calculate the price, and the problem in malaysia ETF is that the trading volume is too low.
Like today, there is no trading in the market and thus the price didn't move up & down.

however, when the price goes too far from the NAV, the market price will do self-adjustment eventually.

historical price against NAV can be found here:

If I understand correctly, looking at the 5th March, isn't it scary that the price we pay is much higher than the NAV--in fact it seems to be the widest so far. If so, then price will have to drop right, and then our porfolio value will decline

it will adjust towards NAV eventually as i said, so yes it will drop eventually if NAV keep on moving downward.
