Mechanical keyboard costs more to make than normal membrane keyboards, it wasn't meant to be a budget option at first. But with more clone switches and adoption of the mechanical keyboards for the past 2-3 years, we're getting all kinds of options. I remember the time when only enthusiasts would go for mechanical keyboards because it costs so much money that we would rather spend the money on RAM or Graphics card upgrades.

If we're talking about rm119 for a mechanical keyboard, expect the manufacturers will cheap out on the materials and features etc. as they spent the money on the switch. But salute Armageddon for offering such a cheap option for those that can't afford but are keen to try mechanical switches.

Spending rm2-300 on a mechanical keyboard is ok, because they'll outlast 3x your rm100 keyboards anytime of the day.

I always spend good money on my keyboards and mouse and monitor, as they are the things we use and see everyday.

Cant agree more on spending a bit more for keyboard and mouse, been using a normal logitech keyboard, bought a tecware mech keyboard last 2 years, much better typing experience where the old logitech keyboard will affect my finger when using for too long especially when doing work in Acad and some typing assingments 

Don't buy Armageddon for sure. Almost all of it is cheap plastic crap.

Tecware is the lowest quality you should aim for. Any cheaper than Tecware is just a waste of money.

I have been using Cooler Master Quickfire TK with Cherry MX brown switches for over 6 years and they still work like new. They cost around RM300.

I would not trust those cheaper Chinese mechanical keys to last long. Always go for Cherry MX switches, they are good stuff.
