So i bought a used Z625, at first it feel coarse, then i turn it, it would produce cracky sound .

After that, i followed the ' turn off, turn left/right for 30sec ' and that kinda fixed it....

but then, occasionally, there will be a little cracky sound when i adjust volume... then I opened it up and used Contact Cleaner on it... now it will really smooth and clean..

Do Potentiometer need lubricants?

Not sure how to lubricate it since it's sealed up.

Desoldering and buy replacement is out of league for me....

But i wasn't able to find a potentiometer of the save value, only in design to match the original one.

the new one is https://my.rs-online.com/web/p/products/7293454/ , a 10 kΩ, a Japanese made, APLS is the company.

the original one is same look , dimensions, and desgin. only in different value , a 100 kΩ. a taiwanese made, ALPHA is the company, cannot find online...

Replaced them anyway... not sure it would affect anything, but the sound looks okay.

haiz... my altec Lansing VS4621 even though 3 years already also better than Logitech... the volume's potentiometer all good... even my way older VS2521.... also no such problem.... Logitech not so good i think.... Youtube all also show Logitech problems, like volume's potentiometer, subwoofer burn, no power, power switch problem... etc etc...

Any encounter with Edifier? Are they Good?
